e e e that I wasn't concerned so seen the basketball game all right 6:35 let's call the council meeting order for January 21st um let's stand for the Pledge of Allegiance please a pledge of allegiance McKenzie here council member schweer here council member Woods here council member Norby here mayor mongi here thank you thank you very much can I please get a motion to adopt the agenda so moved so move move council member Woods second second council member McKenzie all those in favor say I I I thank you very much all right consent agenda item a is January 7th 2025 Workshop minutes January 7th 2025 city council meeting minutes General claims would you put the number in there um item d h do you have it yeah thank you so item C General claims of 1,954 , 4556 H claims of $260 and6 um 2024 police employees suspense our overages item F approve a revised a afme 2025 through 2027 essential and non-essential collective bargaining agreement item G bilding permit report for December of 2024 and item H resolution accepting donations for December of 2024 thank you very much Brian anybody like to pull anything at this time if not can I get a motion to accept I accept council member McKenzie second second council member Norby all those in favor say I I I thank you meeting open to the public there is nobody here so we will move on from that uh and item seven is City business action items and recommendations there are no business action items this evening thank you very much reports move on to item eight reports of city manager and departments um we are working still gathering information for the eapc for the feasibility study for the community center um we have tomorrow from 4:30 to 5:30 just want to remind everybody that we have coffee with Council um at downtown so hopefully see people there um electric Department's been busy uh they're doing system inspections and in finding polls that uh are to the level of needing changing out they had American Test Center out uh last week uh which is a yearly testing that they do on our dialectric and mechanics of our trucks especially the Man Lift Trucks um and we also had testing done on the line hoses that protect the linemen when they're up on the power lines uh we had the audit last week everything went well on that that was great AA um she has started a new item in the newsletter so she's going to do a business Spotlight um that I think you'll see the first one that'll go out tomorrow and the first one is caring for cats for a business for downtown um still working on the update web update uh that will be complete in April there's a lot of work with that working with different department heads and what they want to see on their part of the website public works um update on the student built house is it's been a little slow lately with the cold weather but they've been doing some in side framing when they can uh The Rinks are open uh the three rinks they'll probably be looking at a potential fourth next year over there at housy um they got a good build of probably about a foot of ice on some of these Rings now so hopefully the weather's been cooperating this year um and also out hitting uh the trees tree trimming removing a lot of trees especially up at Casey Lake uh Finance had Auditors out here last week um so we're gradually getting through that uh they'll be back in February and then again in March to finish that up um Community Development is uh updating the fee schedule will be brought back to you guys for the new cannabis law that's in place um Police Department uh they have two people uh going through background checks right now um they have still going to have four short after that now that they they've advertised for their investigator position as well and three officer positions um uh January 28th up at uh St Pete's they're going to have a First Responders assembly up there to recognize them which is kind of nice that they're doing that fire has training tonight and tomorrow as you've seen them walk through um they're doing multif family inspections around town they uh just want to remind people of about the safe haven program that we have and they've been doing for quite some time probably almost a decade now to where people can call in um they will go out to the home for single family uh owner occupied houses uh and they specialize it for elderly they can do fall prevention they also go out there with some of the air purifiers that the electric department has as part of the conservation Improvement program that they give to them which is nice um and they will install smoke detectors that were donated from the Red Cross and then we donate the uh carbon monoxide detectors and put them at the appropriate places inside the home so it's good program and that's all I have very good thank thank you very much reports for Council commissions and committees Council memb sh anything Parks and Rec will meet here tomorrow night at 6:30 thank you anything with you is he okay Woods uh the arts and culture commission uh met just after our last city council meeting on January 8th and we elected our new leadership or their new leadership and and just talked about uh we had Ava gemart come in and talk about the plans for the city um that she has and how we can best work with her so thank you very much M Norby the next Planning Commission meeting will be Thursday February 6th thank you very much any general Business Council Members where no none for me council member KY okay council member none for me either all right Norby not today all right well thanks for uh everybody that uh reminder too about the coffee on Thursday night so that's at 4:30 so that's a good reminder on that and if there is
