[Music] thank you not just not to just Spam like let's not do that that's not it's not ladylike oh I'm not a lady you are a lady I don't yeah I don't know anything about that morning teacher welcome to the zoning committee it's the top of the committee week and we will get started I am councilmember Marcy Collier Overstreet and I am joined by a full compliment of colleagues starting to my far right is council member Byron Amos to his leftist council member Matt Westmoreland and to his left as council member Howard Shook and to my far left is council member Amir faroki and to his right is council member Andrea Boone and to her right and my leftist council member Mary Norwood and together we create a quorum so that we can conduct our city business and with that let's start with the adoption of the agenda moved by council member Norwood and second by Westmoreland please prepare the vote the vote is open and the vote is closed 78-0 Nays thank you um moving on a motion to approve the minutes and second by Westmoreland please prepare the vote the vote is open and the vote is closed 780 news thank you now we are at our point where people can speak uh public comment they receive three minutes each however we have no one signed up to speak with us today so we will move on to ordinances for first read there are two ordinances for first read and they will be sounded in and referred back to the zoning committee at our next full council meeting which will be November the 7th so no action is needed today on those items and that brings us to ordinances for second read and so our director of zoning and development Kiara homes will read the captions for our second reads today Madam chair if I could take items three and four together yes please item number 3220-1641 z2255 an ordinance by commit my zoning committee to rezone from commercial residential district conditional Beltline overlay to commercial residential district Beltline overlay for property located at 1875 Peachtree Road Northeast and item number four 2201646 u2220 an ordinance by zoning committee for a special use permit for a hotel pursuant to 16130051g the prophecy located at 1875 Peachtree Road and the request is to hold both items okay so I move to whole is there a second by Howard shook please prepare the vote the vote is open the voters close 780 news thank you those are our items for second read so now we are moving to items held in committee and we do have two items item seven and eight that are ready for Committee Action if we can get those read in yes ma'am item number seven 220 1687 z2247 an ordinance by zoning committee to rezone for mixed residential commercial mix residential commercial conditional commercial Service District conditional and light industrial to mix residential commercial for property located at one thousand five one two 10 21 1025 Howell Mill Road 701 707-711 717 Ed she'll have Edge Hill Avenue 690 712 and 724 11th Street staff npu recommendation approval zrb recommendation denial okay I'd like to get a little information please is there a speaker button on your computer I see someone like to speak councilmember Norwood thank you moving too fast um I just want to get some information about why crb uh didn't uh recommended denial and the npu and staff recommended approval and our the councilman of the district is here definitely um to my understanding there was a lot of conversation around um the affordability of of some of the units being built so um there was a conversation that took place between the developer and I and everyone that was involved and I'm happy to announce that the developers is actually speaking to the Atlanta police foundation to see if they can do something around housing some of our Public Safety initial public safety employees so I'm coming out of zrb it was concerned about the affordability but the developers have stepped up to get into this conversation on how to better serve the city of Atlanta so I'm happy to say that thank you is there a motion there's a motion to approve second by Westmoreland please prepare the vote the vote is open and the voters close 780 news thank you item number 8U 2217 an ordinance by zoning committee for a special use permit for a hotel pursuant to 16340071j for property located at one thousand one thousand five ten twenty one ten twenty five Howell Mill Road 701 707-711-717 Edge Hill Avenue 69712 and 724 11th Street staff npu and zrb recommendation approval okay is there a motion motion to approve by Eamon second by Westmoreland please prepare the vote the vote is open and the voters close 78-0 Nays so we have no walk-ins is that correct um we're at the point where we can have General remarks do we have any colleagues that would like to say anything since we have so much time before our next committee meeting okay motion to adjourn thank you everyone meetings adjourned
