Norby all those in favor say I I I thank you all right open to the public at 6:40 so Sarah apologize I as you can see how I the oath so I'm definitely not going to get your last name so that's all right it rhymes with vodka it's easier to say that way s rodka uh I was taking advantage of being here tonight thought of it that way yeah that's what I tell people it's very professional I say it at work all the time well Tim knows it now and I've known you for how many years yeah I know hi Council thanks for letting me speak quick I uh want to take advantage of this while I was here tonight with the park board but um I just had two requests of um things to be thoughtful of as you guys go forward with Road plans or any development um I live off of South and Jennifer Court and um since living there for about 2 and a half years I've noticed um really a need for a sidewalk on South part of the frustration is a sidewalk starts at the Maplewood Community Center on South once you get down to the Maplewood side and there's a sidewalk that goes um to mcnight but it stops at that holiday you have a lot of people crossing there at um mcnight Road and uh South and there's no sidewalk on the side and there's little to no easement so you see children strollers people dogs bikes when they're not on the Gateway on that tiny shoulder of Road and I know the Gateway crosses really close by but the reality is a lot of people are using that road um there's about a bus stop at every major intersection on that road as well so there's children out there standing some of them by themselves if they don't have pral you know with them so um I just ask as you guys are looking at road construction I know this isn't something that's instant but as you look at Road plans for South or any of those roads along there to maybe consider a sidewalk um there's a pretty large amount of land um that would seems like it would be easy um to do now I say that knowing that road constructions are always a headache but um I just ask for your consideration in the future as you guys look at that because it would be a great um addition for safety especially at night when you there's no few lights on that road um that's number one number two U living on Jennifer Court it is a deadend road but there's no sign that says dead end and um my child actually almost got hit by a car two nights ago because how many people come and turn around and they didn't see them doing sidewalk chalk in the middle um people come in thinking it's uh through we I think to Jennifer Lane um but it's not and there's no dead end sign at the end of the road it seems like a simple fix maybe people would see um and actually last year um someone sped away with a car and didn't know it was a dead end uh after stealing the car being chased by the police and pulled into my driveway and parked it and left it um so it happens a lot so I would just ask that a simple fix is maybe just sticking a dead end sign at the end of the road so people can see it that's all I got well thank you can I ask for clarification what was the street name again Jennifer Court thank you yep but I think map quests like or Map Quest I'm kind of old um uh Google Maps like people type in Jennifer Lane and I think that they see Jennifer and they think they can go through is what I think happens so all right yep thank you well thank you appreciate you coming up John SCH Council the um question of tonight I that I have is looking for consistency and uh the notification for this week's meetings did not include a notification for the workshop and you get notification of both of those on Friday and there was no notification for the workshop and I went what we got do we have a meeting or did someone forget or what so you have to go search uh I uh this was Friday the notifications usually show up and I was up north in my cabin and I will not look at anything that has anything to do with North St Paul during that time and uh nothing showed up nothing showed up so I finally in order to figure out if there was going to be a workshop had to go digging into the website it which is always a lot of fun and there wasn't one so uh under the idea of uh more information is better when there's not going to be a meeting that is usually occurs before every meeting just say we're not going to have a meeting that's all I ask thank you never assume right yep right thanks John thanks John thanks John all right thank you very much anybody online there is there is an attendee online do they have an I sent them a message but I have not heard okay all right next city business action items thank you mayor thank you uh first up is the Delaware and 17th Avenue uh development project which is 2329 17th Avenue uh candidly I guess this could have been put into the sent agenda um it's already been a presentation for the development and the housing that was going there so this is kind of the semantics of rezoning from R1 to R2 uh preliminary plat and uh plan unit development which we were looking for a resolution for unless you had any questions any questions if not do we have to vote on it individually so moved so move second second cember Norby all those in favor say I hi hi POS thank you thank you next up is uh the contract with hga for the park planning and Design Services I believe we have some of the park commission here to discuss with as share my screen anticip what we want there we go hi we're your friendly neighborhood uh par board Representatives um and we are here to give you a little bit more detail about the firm or consultant I don't know what the best word is that we've chosen uh to move forward with for or that we would like to move forward with um for our Park planning uh this next year and so are you familiar with the selection process that we went through yes we interviewed a bunch of people we chose our top three or we read all of the proposals we chose our top three um and then out of that interview process uh we selected hga and one of or a couple of the biggest reasons that we decided to go with them um was this very clear investment and understanding of North St Paul its needs what resources we have and kind of like the culture and climate of the city um and it really stood out uh in their proposal um referencing things like the Gateway and how we can pull people in off of the Gateway how we can pull that into our parks and a bunch of other very creative ideas um all of that information is in your packet to read at your leisure as I know you will um and then one of the other reasons that we decided to go with them was uh their Community engagement strategy this was like a very large portion of their presentation and it personally wowed me um and I think it wowed a lot of the interview team in their um very strategic way to engage all community members how are they getting all voices and that sometimes could be something that we hear on a superficial level but this engagement strategy is not superficial at all and it's a demonstrated um practice that has informed tremendous Parks locally for uh other communities and so that's why they are the people that we would like to move forward with what am I missing um so in our process we had over 12 bids so we were kind of surprised by how many that came in they ranged from the phase one costs 23,000 down to or up to like 120,000 so we eliminated the highest ones to start with um and then took a look pretty hard at all the other ones that came in and what we found is that um we selected kind of one of the low tier middle tier and then somewhere in between there um within the budget that we had set forth for this project and when we really dove in and had the interviews I think a lot of it came back to community a sense of you know we don't often spend this much money to do Park engagement to learn about these spaces and what we're talking about is mcnight Fields um and then the two pocket Parks so the one wooded lot off of um third that's had a lot of news recently and then um right next to the VFW down here those were the parks we kind of asked them in initially to look at so um they came back with a really Clear Vision um an understanding that our city is unique and that it's got a lot of features like the Snowman and things that don't exist in other communities and that really kind of warmed our hearts where some of the other ones came back with a corporate answer and it looked like a lot of benches and sidewalks and I don't know about you but I don't want to spend $660,000 to get a sidewalk in benches so um we just asked you guys to consider this option we think um this company also did the trail head building at theater worth that might be something notable they've done some big projects they think outside the box and like Laura said um the community engagement we're used to doing mailers and Facebook but the reality is is sometimes the people utilizing the parks most aren't the ones who see these surveys and they have a way to get into the parks and get this information use the car show use the information the the public Gatherings we have now to really get the right feedback so that we know when we're making a decision especially with a big spot like mcnight fields that we're making the right decision that benefits the whole community and not just a select few people that use those Parks so we want to be really conscious of how our community is growing and changing and what that demographic looks like and this company really came to the field with those answers nice pun is there anything you want to add no I covers it all right well of course we will open it up to questions so if anybody has any questions we will do our best to answer and we do have a representative here tonight from HDA if you have any more specific specific because we're not trained in that so we're just here for looks there you go that's why I'm the center here was any questions from anyone so we're asking for a resolution to approve $60,000 to move forward this will include um The Phase One cost which is doing all the research and planning this would enable us to um for this company to do the research over the next summer and early part of fall you show them the yeah where's the planning phase just oh here we go um so this is Phase One what it would look like um all that research would approving tonight means all that research could get started this summer we could utilize the car show and other venues we have a lot of population out using the parks to really understand what people want um this would wrap up at the beginning of fall where they'd come back and give us kind of deliverables of what they think might be work for those spaces and then um that would lead us into the second phase so I do want to put a small caveat that the decision was made just a little bit later so everything is pushed on this timeline just like a couple of weeks further back yeah since we're yeah mid since we're here in miday yep I'm good I've seen it I do predicate it on process um and saon this question is for you uh based upon the dollar amount are we required to take minimum the lowest bid are we allowed to be objective and choose no so there's two things at play when it comes to um services like that you are required to get a couple of quotes at least two we've for sure satisfied that lowest responsible bidder issue comes in and U when two things are met one is you've exceeded the threshold of 175,000 which we're not in that range okay um and then candidly for Professional Services even if it does exceed that amount you aren't subject to the lowest responsible bid requirements so when I reviewed this item for in terms of how we've solicited it processed it um you're you're compliant with with the law all right your down amount I thought it was the dollar amount threshold was lower so thank you there are various dollar amounts but for lowest responsible bidder 175 is your number and I should mention that there are kind of two phases to this phase one is the planning phase two is the building and so sticking with one company some of them in this case the lowest bidder for that phase one was one of the middle to high end of the phase two costs so you know where they might have come in low their building cost might have been 10 to 12% where where we found is this company is actually on the lower side of the building cost which I think we all know that can be pretty costly so finding someone on that lower end is where we felt comfortable with that actually reminds me too in this process we realized that there were companies that would come in and give us a lowish bid and when it came to actual cost it was significantly higher than what they had uh proposed and um HDA has consistently been like where they are proposing so it's a well-informed fiscally chosen decision that we went with them to well I want to thank you for your work and research and all of that um time and energy spent reviewing um all of these proposals um I really appreciate your focus on community engagement um just looking at their slides they use the International Association for public participation and I'm I'm familiar with that so I really appreciate um that that they're using that um as for a question I'm just curious do you have any hesitations or reservations about um this this organization at all no not most of the committee we had when we met and stuff and uh walked through this um no that we found that there were basically two they were pretty close but we found that hga kind of stood out just a little bit above kind of catering to what our needs are um which at this particular moment we're not quite sure that's why they're going to do the surveys and stuff for us so for example like let's say uh mcnight Fields like where the tennis cours are well that might be changed to something else we may see soccer fields there that would help some of our other people in the community um so they have other ideas rather than just giving us a boiler stamp kind of thing and go from there um and I'm really skeptical of all kinds of stuff but they did kind of win me over and I'm I'm really uh would be glad to work with this company I think they'll give us the biggest bang for the buck thank youc and this is a proposed 2025 expense Ryan no it was budgeted for I believe they can start this year is it in is it do we have 60,000 in the CIP to cover it bring the CIP with me was that Ford I thought we had 10 for the planning part [Music] M was it out of the parks it's coming out of the park fund still comes out of our plan CIP oh I see the city I my CIP in front of me let me look yeah I guess we're not sure how City finances work we would defer to you all knowing that but we have the money in the park fund to cover the plan and whatever intricacies you all need to look at we're not sure of the the park plan the park fund itself as part of the general is there a trying to understand where the he's looking at up okay wait give me two seconds I can run down to my office and grab it don't have it on me Dave said he could sing for you if you want he's gonna say song and dance Dave baton no baton here tonight no the ceiling's too low yeah the ceiling is way too low you can catch me in Cincinnati in the Cass me and Travis Kelsey are gonna I just learned actually no we're gonna do a field performance I learned from an Insider my daughters have batons and a kind person just told me that you like you got yourself through college with that that's amazing well they didn't pay for college but I did I twirled I twirled for Cincinnati I love it fortunately Kelsey Brothers weren't there when I was there but I'm hoping maybe him and T Swift will be there when I'm there this year no clearly probably probably still be in concerts maybe she'll throw the Baton with you that would be be able to the Baton would be like never washed again had to go on eBay I would steal it from your house I would steal oh gosh have another parked car in my driveway just that was a fun fact guys that was wild I thought I my kids weren't home this is like everyone in the city gets he this way they find our budget um but I heard some sound and I had just fallen asleep like 20 minutes before and I thought I was crazy you know how like when you wake up you're like ah that was just my dream and then I walk downstairs I'm in my old lady cat robe um and I'm walking downstairs and I see someone walk like run past my front door of a window and I was like that's crazy and I opened the door cuz that was a smart thing to do there was a North St Paul police officer being like is this least I didn't I should have I would it was not prepared at all it was terrible it's what happens when you're groggy but that they left the car running they like stole it Joy rided teenagers and just they went down my Road thinking they could get through and I'm the last house and they just so I thought they want an entertaining story we're waiting it was very entertaining you're welcome I plan on pulling it off of public access and sharing it on social media for you later thank you we're good we're good good good to go woohoo do you want to share just so we know the how that works how that works so that in the future so no the CIP wasn't there wasn't enough money in the CIP to cover C improve under the under the second bucket yeah for housy Park and Tennis Court we have like 4,500 and then the West End passive Park we have $40,000 in there but this doesn't include what the uh budget would be in the actual Park fund for this year so got it so we're good is that an official Park the one down by the m& no no no it's just open land yes we would encourage you to explore all the Lots in downtown North St Paul with knowing what this company could build there could be great options I look at that when I drove up that hill I thought I don't know how that can be a park unless we got a nice maybe I got a got a slide or something we can well they have a lot of really great ideas they really do yep and um I think if we give them the opportunity and maybe even the right amount of space we could have something really iconic and amazing for families and all members that are moving into downtown to have when we when we want we have to be concerned about that roundabout going there someday or is is that that's further up further up yep that's at Five Corners oh all right you have a name for that I don't know it's called Five Corners Five Corners are you guys really putting a roundabout there I was just saying that ter stop sign intersection yes that's brutal you got to be an owl to look back to see who's exactly I'll construct that myself smart love it all right is there any other additional info that you all need from us or would like from us I got nothing you look at me I got nothing I asked my two tough question literally I'm flored I'm fled like you don't have more questions I as my two yep okay if you want information about the car left in my house you'll have to come to the bar afterwards Brian can you just clarify the the budget aspect of this so it was planned for we have it it won't affect future budgets we're good correct okay yes all right that's there's one thing I'd like to throw in the mix uh don't mean to burst anybody's bubble but so one issue that we've had for a very long time is we don't have a lot of space for the city we have a very small yard for the public works facility uh one thing that we've had concerns with over the years depending on the winter is areas to dump snow we also have we store our utility poles off site because we don't have enough room in our yard down there so one idea that was floated kind of throughout the years um that area of the t-ball field is not used very highly and it was just thrown out there at some point to do we have it as an outside storage for that with a large privacy type fence to be able to handle some of the needs of the public works of our city I don't know if this is appropriate but I just wanted to plant that seed this has been a need for a very long time and well and he's here I was going to say well te is here is here there's something he can put into the plans um for an area for Public Works to have part of that that it' be easy one closest to the Nite so it's not you know it's right on the road is where we're talking about that's where the t-ball one is really right yeah and we hadn't heard that so now hearing that now was super helpful yeah right just an idea and I know it's certainly not something sexy for Parks but um it's a basic need for oh yeah great spot for a mural yeah great true story mural or even maybe that would a lot that like if that isn't too like hilly that could if if the roundabouts going in and that doesn't look as convenient but I think as long as did you just give away one of our Parks yeah no don't do that that's a really pretty area still stuck story I'm not giving up the hope that there might be other space but Brian are are you looking at basically storing like utility poles and stuff in that area or how much space do you think you would need off a mcnight field well right now we start our polls at a local uh business owner's yard here I mean and there're two separate polls one pole is or one pile is for poles that are 45 ft to 55 ft sure and then we have another one one that holds uh 30 Footers up to 40 Footers so and they're side by side so you you know you can go down to 100 feet um you know we have castings that are in the backside there where they dump the snow but right you know we've had issues where the snow gets tall and it crushes the fence over from mot for the Highway 36 um there's also drainage back there that gets kind of messed up over time from all the snow wish we could have these Winters that we just had every year nice too but uh it's you be thinking of putting like a building on that site also or just basic outside storage fenced outside yeah I think if you if we talk with uh with the the planning part I think with with hga and say hey we need to allocate this much space for public works I think they can come up with a beautiful design that would help all parties um you know we we're looking at maybe changing some of that whole area up uh but meanwhile maintaining kind of what we have just bringing it back to life so and part of the reason I'm bringing that up to is clearly we would need Council support on something like that so I just wanted to at least throw it out there so you're aware of it um you guys can shut it down as or just ask them to at least look at the idea of it as well okay yeah I think that's you know uh reasonable and much more of a holistic and comprehensive approach um I guess my question would be just to making make sure that the the uh funding wherever it's coming from that it's you know obviously not all from maybe the parks that sh certainly yeah I agree and then maybe offline you can just give us specifics in an email of like space that Public Works might be looking for yep absolutely I can draw something up for you yep okay I like one more thing is to as we're considering the community center too and and and making sure that that might be uh looked at as as integrating into the entire park system and I don't know the parameters but I'm assuming when they go into the research if that's something we want questions asked around I'm assuming maybe that would be easy enough um because I know the community center might be a different question when people are engaging people versus like a park open park space so maybe that's worth adding you know asking about that too I don't know and maybe it's more about like connectivity like how are we connecting the parks within the city in a way that it makes sense yeah and I'm sure we'll get ideas around that and other other ways we can do that perfect thank you right thank you awesome everybody thank you not yet need a resolution I need to go back to my old tablet here find a spot did you guys vote oh we haven't made a motion yet all right mayor did you want to put that up for a vote or a motion to approve okay my paperwork now gotcha okay took me a while to wrestle this baby I have a motion for the so moved your honor oh sorry go ahead go ahead go you go you I'll take all so moved moov council member second second council member Wong all those in favor say hi hi hi me thank you it's just so you can paint the fence right that's right it's a we partner right thank you you thanks guys appreciate it thank you guys no I don't blame you there's cake in the back room there's cake C in the back room thank you thank you take care all right all right reports from city manager and departments um met with the had a staff meeting today met with uh all the Departments fire is working on their uh breathing apparatus testing they're going to be doing some burns out at the training center uh Public Works is out mowing already got some of their couple of their summer help has started already [Music] um we've been out doing a lot of inspections they've done about 330 approximately so far whether or not uh they've gone out and done it or people have called in um they have found two lead services so far so they're finding some of the ones that are out there just a quick little note on that I did mine online I thought it went really well great scheduling yep the can figure it out yourself not even just to identify it so I was able to you know hit the cart and bring up the website and then or bring up the URL and I was able to go down and do the testing and choose which one so I thought it was uh pretty pretty straightforward I was happy how it worked out Ronnie come to your door no I did it myself oh you didn't that's what I said myself worked pretty well yeah I was I thought people are going to ask me questions so I'll try it myself and it went very well it was very smooth yeah nice I took the penny out I scratched the pipe I saw copper it's like gold nice yeah no kidding uh the PD Ray's been making some changes uh under his authority now and he's started a sergeants Academy training um since they have three new sergeants that's went really well they received very well um elector has a boore company in town they've done the boore up there on 17th in Delaware for that job part that is a feeder up there so that's kind of a big deal um they're also going to start the boore over there on Jennifer Lane in the sanch area that they're going to be replacing and upgrading the underground high voltage wire um student build house is coming along they poured the garage in the floor uh the floor and the garage excuse me and uh they're doing the trimming inside the house and they'll be starting the sighting here relatively soon so getting close to wrapping that up any dates for an open house yet been floated not yet okay always excited fun to attend it is yeah um the City Garage Sale citywide garage sale went good last week we had 26 participants um now we'll have the leftovers of that I think coming up this Saturday for we'll have a city cleanup uh Saturday from 8 to 11: so and that is all I have for you thank you very much thank you reports from Council commissions and committees council member Norby we had our Planning Commission last Thursday it went very well I I can't commend uh the chairman Patrick pleas enough he ran just a wonderful meeting um there was two things on the topic one was uh constellation of our fence ordinances and two was the Delaware and 17th project um one of the things because we had a lot of community engagement about the Delaware and 17th project that came out is um a lot of our community does not subscribe to the paper that we choose as our official so I have asked Brian to look into the cost of what it would be to legally we have to designate an official newspaper but what the cost would be is if we put all of our notices in both the Pioneer Press and star trib um going forward to see what that would come so I expect in a meeting or two um we might seek to approve that cost um to me that was a reasonable ask from a residents just to be able to get that information um and again like say I thought chairman B just ran a wonderful meeting um I encourage you all to watch it thank you very much Mr sh as far as the other cities do most of them do both newspapers or how do they how do they go about what we're going through now that the papers are getting as small as an envelope yeah no I don't know of anyone who does both of the major papers it's expensive um you know you'll recall that um I've already forgotten the name of the paper that you had start no the lily um oh my God it was somewhat weird that week I had three communities who all lost what I will call their true local newspaper and ended up going to larger subscription bases There are rules and regulations around what you can use for your official newspaper so to me it's simply a matter of looking at do you want to use the St the strib or the Pioneer Press um it is something you designate at the first of the year every year um so we can take a look at that make sure that I believe the Pioneer Press um would qualify for your official newspaper I don't remember why we went with the stri versus Pioneer Press um but it's certainly something we can look at okay there's options and then we got till next decide what we're going to do designated at the first of the year but everybody has to have a newspaper to do it I mean as they get a little bit down you know getting short on them okay there's no way around that thank you there you go earned your keep this week at the time we made at the time the city made the decision ision it was pred strictly predicated on cost and the Minneapolis paper was and circulation was a better value than the St Paul paper doesn't mean we can't relook at it sure good to know thank you all right yeah arts and culture commission met on Wednesday and um we were able to meet our new um uh secretary for the arts and culture commission my so she was great and um we're really looking forward to working with her but really sad to see Sarah go but um appreciate her work um with us throughout the snowy project um as for the snowy project um next week um or starting May 15th sorry um the artists will be working um in the community center uh throughout the week um doing their uh painting of the snowmen and so they'll kind of be in and out throughout the week um doing that demonstration um and then we have the snowy reveal date which is a Thursday June 6th and the time is they're looking at 5:30 at 5:30 and of course Council um is all invited s on you to um city manager and then um I do believe they may be reaching out to you mayor as well okay um but yeah I think uh let's see uh the art cart will be at the car show starting in June so we've got a little bit of time for that but um the next pain along is actually um weight listed so we're we're all full there and um that's not even till July so or June sorry so nice it's really catching kind of a a rhythm and a Cadence and people are are yeah signing up so pretty happy okay and I think that's all I mean oh uh the Box the utility box wraps um we had uh I think they have chosen somebody so they'll get that going um purchased and and um they I don't know if they'll do a reveal for that but um we'll let you know when it's available and ready to go and let's see and yes murals there there's discussion around murals as well um there was discussion on maybe working with the businesses again and so um just for food for thought for those on the Eda to consider um as you walk through and process through what um kind of the storefront or what is that facad Improvement facade Improvement um to to consider that a mirror will be an option as well and I I think the arts and culture commission could collaborate there and with financials too and that's all I have thank you very much Al we we met on April 24th and uh the Brandy uh proposed her final park in open space plan and it's been suggested to the committee that should be presented to council there was more discussion around Park cleanup and revolving that around Earth day it sounds like all the tennis courts batting cages volleyball nets are all set up so we're ready to rock it over there and housy had its pre-construction meeting on April 18th and it's slated to be done in June clean up days is coming up so yeah Saturday it's been good it's all I got thank you very much the Ada had their meeting in here on April 23rd at 4 o'clock there were really four primary three primary topics Eda um budget and Staffing uh we the Eda took a look at what percentage um the Eda is funding uh for positions within within the city staff members um and the reason that came about is the Eda is considering looking to um potentially partner with an outside agency that is Eda specific that can drive business that can be the cheerleader for the city and so we had a conversation around what that budget would look like if there was funding available what it would mean um so that was one of the topics the second one one was the facade Improvement program um that was a lot of conversation surrounded that concerning is it a loan is it a grant do we cap it what do we have to qualify for it um and where that left off was it was to been presented by staff at the I believe this the next upcoming meeting what sh communities do just to make sure we're kind of in line and and gain some guidance and some direction there uh and then we just went through any open Eda project updates which there really there was no change to anything that it taking place so um that's it for for the Eda the next meeting is uh next Tuesday the 14th at 4:00 um here in Council that meeting we're going to have to postpone because uh you're gone couple of gone so oh I thought I was the only one gone we have quum another one that snuck out he snuck out you can't do that y all right so visal we're going to have to all right we'll figure it out and then I hand the Baton to Brian because he wants to talk about Silver Lake yes sorry I missed one um we got a notice from the Silver Lake Improvement Association um last year they did a Floridian treatment of the lake uh and they're actually going to do what they're calling a bump and that will be tomorrow um there are minimal water restrictions with the application rate of the Florine that they use Florine only affects plants that are already growing at the time of the treatment so the critically important native aquatic plants that start their growing season in late May will not be impacted at low concentrations Florine has no contact restrictions has a no contact restriction and is safe for humans pets and Wildlife um the water does not need to be avoided during these treatments um the treatment uh will be they will post for there the DNR will put signs out with uh any kind of water restriction that they may have along the boat landing the beach area and the fishing pier um there will not be individual homeowner Shoreline postings but just wanted to get that out there and one last thing I apologize uh rary Park is having a meeting this weekend Saturday from 10: to 12 and that will be for a peace pole celebration at Rotary Park thank you Saturday day next Saturday oh the 18th I'm sorry 18 one we off yeah thank you y yes thank you all right all right then we'll go to General business none this none what yeah I have a question in regards to like the Community Development and Eda position you're looking at the the uh hiring or what positions are available so for the Community Development role director role my understanding was that some of the funds came from the Eda is that still going to be funding the community development director role or is that looking are we looking at other funding so that was part of the conversation we had um um Mr wck here to present to us um and currently right now the Eda funds 50% of that position right um and so the decision was if we were to step away from it the guidance was that we'd step away from it slowly so that it wouldn't it wouldn't put an it wouldn't put an impact to um the the cost of running the city we would you know wean it off over a series of years got it okay or yeah okay sounds good thank you for that clarification um and I don't think I have any other uh General business um yeah thank you I had too it seems like forever ago since we were here last we had that Bonus Week um I completely forgot about the um public meeting or the Community engagement over the lead pipe so thank you for bringing it up um I did have the opportunity to attend I just want to say big giant shout out and hats off to to Randy Ron and Morgan from WSB they did a phenomenal job this room was packed there were a lot of people in attendance so that's that's great uh last Thursday Brian and I had the opportunity to attend the Ramsey County legue of local government um it was more of just of a a meet and greet a social Social Hour um to in networking to sit and be able to talk to to all the other local government a you know all the other local governments from within the community had a lot of good conversations around community centers and funding of police and uh just a lot of good a lot of good non-structured dialogue good that's it for me thank you for myself I want to thank Sarah for filling for filling in tonight appreciate it nice job I appreciate your effort so thank you so much for that and um just wanted to uh remind everybody of course you know for the for the pickup for this uh for yard for our uh what do you call that recycle and cleanup days so and um thank everybody for helping out as far um um excuse me I'll try it again city manager frandle will be stepping in for the ceremony for the Rotary Park I'm getting my hip replaced so I'm going to be out a little bit so I want to thank everybody for helping out when they can so plus we're a good team I mean that's what I like we're all represent there's you know we're all that's our job for all of us so I really appreciate that we do this as a team so to thank everybody all right if nothing else can I call for adjournment some so Mo Council s second second council member Norby all those in favor say i i i n thank you very much e e
