So for her it's like >> I don't have to worry about driving to campus and find parking or taking a bus. She just drives up there, parks her car and doesn't touch it like every time I've got to get And I went back and I had like great >> lots of walking, lots of laugh. >> Thanks. When you're >> going to start taking off the council members. >> I was wondering if he was here. I heard a chatter box walking around myself but >> very talkative in there. It's big enough to be a capital project just like >> Good morning everyone. It's Mayor Lily again. I didn't thought that would have been. >> She just called in. >> Okay, we ready to start, you know, with the corn. I think because my spot was taken, we should make sure there's no pie charts in any more budget presentations. >> No more pie charts. >> No more pie charts. >> We are anti- pie charts. >> Okay, let's begin. What are the dinosaurs names? Okay, Bob. >> We will stand for the pledge of allegiance. I >> pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Thank you all for being here. Mayor Woo is online. Anyway, we're going to turn it over to Bob. >> Thank you, Vice Mayor. Um I believe that Council Member Ballard is going to join us in a few minutes as well. Uh first page, uh excuse me, I'm on August 12th agenda. First page, we got five people signed up for the public agenda. On page two, uh, new business item number one. This would approve a development agreement for an affordable housing project in water. Next page, number two. Number two would approve an annual trail maintenance project. Um, this year our focus will be on improvements in Pony Prairie Park. Number three would approve uh contracts for electronic timekeeping assist. >> Thank you, Mayor. What's that? >> I couldn't I don't I didn't hear I can't hear. >> Mayor, you're muted. We don't know >> the development agreement for waterw walk. Obviously, we don't have the documentation. I have also asked for a lot of information prior to >> mayor. The report went out this morning um electronically I think as well as um in physical and I know you're out of the office right now. and staff is preparing information that will be avail that will be presented on Tuesday regarding the history of Waterwalk um city's financial investment uh private investment to date. I think that's consistent with the information you asked for. >> All right. Um, number five is an appeal of a historic preservation board decision uh for property located at 602, oh excuse me, 102 and 104 uh North Pinerest. >> Hey Bob, real quick on number five that since it's on this new council business that'll be open for public comment. >> That's correct. >> Next page, planning item. Uh the first item would consider is a conditional use request for district 6. Uh difference in the DAB and the MAPC recommendations. Number two would approve a zoning change and conditional use request in district 6. Again, difference in DAB and MAPC. Next page, number three would approve a zoning change in district 1. Uh also a difference between DAB and MAPC. And number four would approve a zoning uh change in district two. I believe it's on because there was a protest petition filed. Not enough signatures to require super majority on non-consent housing agenda. Number one item would approve amendments to the affordable housing fund. Nothing on the next page. page after that. 3A would approve a security software for our water system. 3B would approve nuisance abatement contracts for MABCD. Nothing else on that page and nothing to highlight on the following page. On the next page, number 10 would approve a settlement of a motorcycle accident that occurred at a public works and utilities job site. That's all I have on that page. Nothing else on the next page. Following page number 16 would approve home program contract amendment number uh actually the from 18 on there would be the approval of the sale of 14 public housing authority homes. Vice Mayor, that's all I have for the 12 preview on August 19th. On the second page, uh under new business, number one would approve a letter of intent for an IRB issue for advanced cancer therapies. Number five would approve amendments to the common consumption ordinance to comply with um requirements of the Kansas alcohol and beverage control uh division. Number six would approve the creation of a common consumption area in Deleno. Number seven would rename uh Lincoln Park to the Kansas Fallen Firefighters Memorial Park. And just a little bit of background on that, the park was actually named for the street and not the president. So, just wanted to get that out there. >> But, uh, but the street >> was named the president. >> We're playing eight degrees of Kevin Bacon here. I think that's right. >> And he's your he was your second grand great grandfather. Um, number eight would approve uh our second state revolving loan fund loan for the BNR project. Number nine would approve a design concept for the reconstruction of the First Street Bridge over the R Kansas River. Number 10 uh would adopt new water watering restrictions. Number 13 would approve IRB issue for the Douglas Market Development Project. Majority of that project now is complete. Number 14 would approve an IRB issue for Midcontinent Instruments and Avionics. Items 16 through 18 would approve second uh five-year tax exemptions for uh three projects. They've I believe they've met all their requirements um and uh through the first five years. It's all I have on that page. on the next page just um highlighting number 25 um and and the items after that would actually would sell would sell five public housing authority properties. Next page you have three grant agreements on items 30 31 and 32 for the airport system. Uh, two of the grants have to do with work at um Eisenhower and one at Jabara. And that is the preview for the 19th shaping up to be somewhat long meeting. Okay. Thank you. Any comments from council member? >> Yeah, I had two. Um I'm pretty sure they may be there, but for the 12 on number five, could um we encourage the applicant to be at the meeting just in case there are some questions for the applicant? Okay. And then on the 19th, it's a little technical, but could we potentially move item number four, I think is the budget. Could we move that to item one just in case people are there just to talk to us about the budget? They can do that on the first item and then if they choose to stay gray if not then we'll get with the rest of the items. >> Sure. Good. >> I like that. >> I did have one quick question about it's on the 19th but item number two. I don't think that pro I think it's still the same developer as the Hill House but I think it's a different project name. So that was just mentioned. >> Yeah, I think technically we've called what's the LLC is the Douglas Apartments. >> Okay. So are they all called the Hill House? Is that >> it's Jones Development Company, but yeah, the same development company that did the Hill House. >> It's a separate LLC. It's the same group. Yes. >> Thank you for the correction. >> Okay. I meant Did I say one? >> I didn't have potatoes at one. My bad. I feel like you read it, Mike. District the potatoes. >> Mr. Vice Mayor, this is when you normally would end the meeting. >> And we're back. Let's end the meeting. Thank you. >> And we're done. >> You're going to have to wow me with your potatoes. >> Yeah. It was a full moon last week.
