All right. I now open the regular city council meeting for love city council for December 9th, 2025. and the city council will now recess into executive session in accordance with Texas government code section 551.071 to consult with and seek the advice of the city's legal council. Section 551.072 to discuss the purchase exchange or value of real property including agenda item 5.1.1 and section 551.087 to discuss economic development matters. The city council is now recessing at 12:05. All right, the city council will now reconvene in open session and take up our ceremonial items. I'm going to call on Steve Doles, executive director of Prey Love to lead us in our invocation, followed by our mayor, Pro Tim, leading us in our pledges to our flags. Please stand if you're able. >> I invite you to join with me in prayer. Heavenly Father, as a citizen, I'm thankful to be a part in front of a council and a mayor who reserve time for an invocation before a meeting such as this just to honor you, to ask your direction on the proceedings of this meeting. Lord, there's this even this meeting in particular may have a lot of routine activities, but there's nothing routine about having a a safe community and having a healthy community, a growing community. And I know that these matters that are before them today will impact uh the life of this community. So we pray your blessing upon each of these items that will be considered today. Father, we know that these items will will uh enact and bring into action other events. We pray for the safety for road workers that work on the things that are are decided today. For those that are out there working even right now, Father, we pray for safety for our first responders. We pray for your blessing upon other public service providers here in this city. We thank you for all that they do to to to make this community what it is. Uh Father, we ask that your hand would be over us especially in this uh this Christmas season as we think especially about giving as we think about uh your blessings uh that you have given to us and and of course we think about our savior that has been born. But Father, we pray that and as we thank you for the prosperity and for the good things that you have given this community, we pray that a spirit of generosity would would match that that those that are not in a position to give at this season of and time that that they would receive from others who are able to give. May we as a community take care of one another because you have taken care of us. Well, Father, we thank you for this community. We thank you for these leaders. Pray your blessing on each thing that they do today. pray for your uh your health and your safety upon them and we give you praise uh for this time today in Jesus' name. And uh so we always invite our citizens to take advantage of that opportunity to speak uh to our city council, but we have none today. Uh this will be a fairly short meeting, I think. So we'll take up begin with our minutes. Item number four on our agenda. Uh the minutes for November 11th, 2025 regular city council meeting. Um those have been provided to everybody in their packet. There is uh aren't any. And so the minutes are approved unanimously. Uh we'll now move on to our consent agenda. Item five. Uh there's not been a request by any member of the city council to pull any item from the consent agenda today. So I will entertain a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. But before we go, I think everybody up here wants to wish everyone out in the audience today and all citizens of Lev uh the happiest of holidays. Uh we're grateful that we won't be back up here for almost a month, I think, uh with nothing to do. So, we'll be able to enjoy it. Uh we hope that all of our uh city workers and employees enjoy their holiday season. Uh we have so much to look forward to, so much to be thankful for in this community. um wonderful people in this community. It is amazing when you see all the publicity this city has gotten recently and everybody talking about how wonderful it is, how friendly it is. We are indeed fortunate and lucky to live in this city and that's one of the many blessings we can count on top of all the other blessings uh that we have had. Um and we appreciate all of our city employees for all their hard work and want them to enjoy these holidays as well. And I think all my council people will join me in that.
