No description available.

the Tuesday October 1st 2024 meeting of Eden per city council is now called to order please rise for the Pledge of Allegiance i al to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible liy and justice for it is customary for me to read an open Podium invitation open Podium is an opportunity for Eden Prairie residents to address the city council on issues related to Eden Prairie City Government prior to each council meeting these Council meetings typically occur the 1 and third Tuesday of each month and the open podiums occur prior to the meetings from 6:30 to 6:55 here in the council chamber if you wish to speak at open Podium please do contact the city manager's office at 952 9498 412 by noon of the meeting date with your name your phone number and subject matter so we can be better prepared for you open Podium is not recorded or televised if you have questions about open Podium please do contact the city manager's office we have no uh presentations or proclamations this evening we do have a couple additions I believe to the agenda I have a council member or mayor uh report briefly and I believe uh council member Tumi you do too as well y so if we can add those two items to the agenda is there anything else from anybody to add to the agenda this evening if not is there a motion to approve the agenda I'll move to approve the agenda with the um second sure with the addition the addition we got it that's the word we got it and there's a second any further discussion all those in favor say I I opposed all right we do have a couple council members uh gone this evening because of a conference um so you all are going to have to do a lot of seconding and motioning this evening all right moving on to um approval of the minutes um unless you have any questions or edits to either one we um could Clump them together into one motion um does anyone have any questions or edits comments about them NOP I'll entertain a motion to approve both of them I'll move to approve the following city council minutes the council Workshop held Tuesday September 17 2024 and the city council meeting held Tuesday September 17 2024 Sarah second second any further discussion all those in favor say I I oppose passes unanimous consent calendar we often um will Clump to together uh not necessarily housekeeping but things that don't require a whole lot of further discussion however council members are free to request any of them be pulled off the agenda for further discussion is there anything that you'd like to hear more about and if not is there a motion to approve the consent calendar items a through H move move approval of items a through h on the consent calendar there a second second further discussion all those in favor say I I oppose passes unanimous Mr Gea we do have two public hearings this evening we do mayor thank you our first is the wonderlick properties Edition uh wonderlick mck engineering is proposing an 8,000 square F foot uh building Edition vertical building Edition to support their increased warehousing needs at 6101 Blue Circle Drive so that's um North of Highway 62 kind of in that Opus area many people think that's been a but as you know from other recent projects and maybe future projects that there is a part of that that's eaten Prairie um the plan here and you're going to hear about this um actually fits within the um current building footprint and will not require any land alteration uh the applicant is requesting a site plan review and uh PUD Amendment with one waiver one waiver uh related to uh parking stalls that um they feel and staff supports are not necessary to the full extent of what is normally required Planning Commission voted 80 to recommend approval of the request with the condition that a landscaping plan um showing 25 calip per inches of new plantings is submitted so I assume that probably has been submitted between the plan commission and this Council uh this council meeting the applicant is here to provide an overview of their project and the staff and the applicant can answer any questions that the council or public may have after holding your public hearing just um for educational purposes Julie could you share what it is that raises this to the level of requiring a public hearing when the footprint stays the same and I guess what would there be situations out there that would not require a public hearing and what what would that look like mayor members of the council a public hearing is triggered because it is a PUD Amendment and site plan review both of those do require a public hearing um because it is altering the facade and they are requesting a waiver got it thank you so much appreciate that so I'm I'm assuming there's a presentation from the proponent um name and um address and um maybe what position you hold good evening I'm Amy swabi with DWP Architects principal architect we are at 4125 Lakeland Avenue North perfect Minneapolis sorry I broke your stuff already um we are the architect for wonderlick Malik and I have the owner with me if we have any questions perfect so right so here we're looking at the existing building just a bird ey view wonderlick Malik has been around since 1981 they've been in this location since 2015 when they bought the building from uh laboratory science uh company they provide Engineering Services um and Fabrication of industrial controls and uh panels and modular e- houses for many different sectors and they do subcontracted services for electrical and mechanical Contracting they also do work with the power grid for the company and a semiconductor um uh sector so they've outgrown their space here with the production that they're doing on these control panels and this expansion would allow them to um increase their storage for this uh these panels and then move their um engineering staff that is over in the other part of the building or working from home right now so they can all be together in the fabrication area of the of the building so we're looking at the um existing site plan just uh a little bit site entry up at the norm North building entry that red arrow the warehouse entry the Green Arrow nothing's really changing with any of this the addition or expansion actually is going over in the Southeast corner so uh building up that little rectangle over there new landscape we talked about this so here's our landscape plan we have 25 calip per inches going in to the site PL so it results in one two about eight trees coming along and you guys probably know about this site it has a um Oakland there I go with your Oakland Savannah and and there are a lot of trees on this site um so we'll be adding to an already nice and dense populated site here's our expansion in red that I was talking about in the Southeast we are actually um connecting this piece to the existing office which is on the north side of the building that's a two-story space and the um manufacturing is a one-story which remains one story on the southwest side and then the popped up uh red here's a little bit of another view of this so looking at all of that office SP space talking about this space planning how the business staff has been over in that north side and they're working down uh over to to the southeast and more space planning for you here is a view from 62 so you can pretty much not even see the expansion at all with all of these trees so with the zoning um our uh new expansion will be about 565,000 Square ft the exterior materials will match the masonry it'll be basically the same with the festation matching what's existing there um in Planning Commission was brought up that there was no trash enclosure so we are adding that trash enclosure and it will match the the building uh we're perfectly within floor area ratio here uh the additional Landscaping the 25 caliber Ines we are within the 4 foot height limitation with this expansion and parking um with the expansion it would uh by your zoning would require to have 187 parking stalls the uh 1993 developer agreement approved 50,000 Square ft with another 20,000 this addition would have taken out trees which were not doing here and a parking deck which we're not proposing the original parking lot was only Built to 98 stalls and in 2019 this owner added 38 stalls and it was built to that South where you can see the the red outline we're requesting a parking waiver you as you've talked about to this project uh traffic memo has been done done uh with this project and concluded that there was no impact to intersections or roadways uh so the waiver they actually have 136 dolls uh required by the existing square footage would have been 167 so this building's been operating all this time onund uh actually 98 stalls and been perfectly fine um the Stalls required with the expansion would be 187 um actual OCC occupants by workspace are 161 and the owner just told me they have 134 actually employees um so with occupants working from home they have a a three-day 5day system 108 people are usually in this building uh at a typical time so in summary this project at 8,000 extra square feet is less intensive than that other development that was improved um approved the uh proposed expansion is well within the the height limit uh we're requesting that waiver with parking we're not imp uh expected to impact uh intersections or roadway operations the facade materials will match everything and the new trash enclosure will be constructed so you can see just popped up that little expansion so it's looking in similar nature to the rest of the building and kind of Barely There thank you whoa sorry about that thank Youk you um I guess hang around close in case we had some questions but uh Council this is a public hearing so we can open it up and then have a conversation if you have any questions right now on the top of your mind feel free to ask them now or or later what would you like I'm good asking now do you is that okay sure I just have a couple M um so if in the future you do need additional parking will there be room to add on a parking deck like you I what that 1993 development agreement showed was that the parking deck was along the west side of the lot so it takes away I don't know I think it was something like 30 spots to go up so there is that availability um yeah you never know and then well ideally um less and less cars are going to be we're even looking at adjusting now and then some of our city code to require even less but you know in a changing World um with AI and everything else but nonetheless it's important to know if if if or if the building's sold or something and suddenly somebody needed additional parking I always want to see those huge flat roofs I think about solar um and whether that um is we don't mandate that in the city um though we often with um new construction mandate um construction of a roof that's able to carry the weight of solar at some point we also um have a solar garden at the community center and I was chatting with Cooperative Energy Futures that company that's right uh they go into other uh owned properties like Municipal governments or like private entities and they fund completely the solar garden off of that and then re allow the company to have some use of the so anyway just think about that we just um one of um I think our council's goals one of my personal goals is that we would um not only actualize all the municipal buildings which I believe we have and or are doing but to really move into that next area of getting um corporate getting businesses across the community to go solar so whatever we can do to help um we'd love to to be available with that too Kathy anything quick before we open up to yeah real quick following on yours will this new roof be solar capable um it can be can be solar capable it's it's a lot easier when you're making it to have it so you can put it up if and when you want probably when you want yeah um so yeah I would think it would be important to at least have it be solar capable when you're making it if you have the opportunity to do that I I I do believe that from what I understand most roofs are built structurally load capable because solar is so light these days exactly yeah that was but it would be a good thing I think might even be um important I think for wonderlick properties whatever yeah panels are getting so light now you an extra 5 to eight pounds per square foot is probably usually going to handle it which we know our snow loads are already there so correct let's go ahead and have a public hearing um ask you to sit down but thank you we'll call you back up um and then Council again feel free when we close the public hearing to um continue um with questions so this is a public hearing on the W properties addition um is there anyone in the audience wishing to address the city council tonight uh on this issue seeing none then council do you want to proceed um well let me ask you do you have other request questions or comments or do you want to go ahead and make the motion we still can ask questions even after the motion's made uh if one of you want to go ahead and then U make the entire four bulleted motion go ahead move to close the public hearing and adopt a resolution for Planned unit development concept review on 5.13 acres and approve the first reading of the ordinance for the planned unit development District review with waivers on 5.13 acres and director staff to prepare a development agreement incorporating staff and commission recommendations and Council conditions second second okay Council um much pleasure um are you ready to vote do you have more questions I'm good okay all those in favor say I I I oppose passes unanimous um we always appreciate when our businesses not only just come to Eden Perry but choose to stay and choose to reinvest so thank you appreciate that and welcome and have um invite us up to any ribbon cuttings that go on we'd love to be there okay Mr Geto we have um a second public hearing this evening on the Costco fuel facility um expansion we do mayor yes that's indeed what the project is Costco Eden Prairie is requesting a site plan and PUD concept review to construct a seven uh pump expansion so that'd be 14 new pump stations uh you may recall that you approved um four pumps uh four additional pumps to be approved uh back in January of 2020 but those are not built so just kind of for frame of reference if you've got um you know the 16 total pump stations you approved at one time to go to 24 and now the request is to go to 30 um and these are proposed to be on the east side of the fuel facility creating a new Ro pumps the Planning Commission voted 80 to recommend approval of this project at their September 9th meeting and the applicant is here to provide an overview of their project and answer any questions you or the public may have about their expansion plans okay great please come forward and name and address and position why you're here welcome good evening mayor and council members my name is Julie Anderson with bargh Housen Consulting Engineers located in Kent Washington I'm the planning consultant for Costco on this project uh with me is our team consisting of Kay Bernett real estate manager with Costco Wholesale and Chris tasler a traffic engineer uh for kson and Associates there we go uh so Costco is requesting a PUD Amendment and minor site plan and Architectural design review for the expansion of the existing Costco fuel facility the project includes the expansion of the facility uh and the project area generally consists of the existing Q area and then the Eastern portion of the of the fuel facility the intent of the expansion is to uh reduce vehicle cues improve overall site circulation and just improve the memb fueling experience um so just briefly the overall the fuel facility is located in the northern portion of the site right along Technology Drive the existing facility contains eight dispensers with three 20,000g underground storage tanks and 1 1500 gallon additive underground storage tank um an approximately 3,800 ft fuel canopy and then what we call an inside fuel drop uh which basically means that the fuel truck is located inside the queue when delivering fuel to the site with the expansion we would be providing seven additional dispensers uh for a total of 15 one new 30,000 gallon an underground gasoline storage tank to uh serve those dispensers approximately 5,300 expansion to the canopy uh an outside fuel drop Lane which allows the fuel truck to remain outside of the queue area when delivering fuel to the site um this just really helps improve circulation and cues um just providing kind of an unencumbered Q space for members um a new controller inclosure and then the widening of the Eastern driveway uh for the fuel truck to enter the site the expansion itself is designed similar to the existing canopy got brick veneer columns and a metal canopy fascia to provide a cohesive seamless transition between the existing canopy and the expanded canopy signage will also be consistent with what's out there today uh the controller enclosure design is also consistent uh with the existing site we've got three-ton brick walls um flat roof similar to the fuel canopy uh a traffic analysis was completed for the project um to evaluate the impacts of the expansion some of the key findings include that there is a small net increase in traffic largely driven by induced demand so shorter lines will attract more members who today may choose not to get gas because they're visiting the site they seea lines are so long they decide we don't want to wait in that now qes might be a little bit shorter so they decide okay I'll go get gas before I leave the site um but all study intersections are forecast to continue to operate at acceptable levels the expansion is projected to reduce current Q's weit Times by roughly 50% you can kind of see a before and after uh graphic uh of the cues on the slide and then there have already been several recent Transportation improvements by both the city and Costco there was a new traffic signal installed at the Western driveway the Technology Drive has been restriped with new turn Lanes added and the Western driveway has been restriped with prep to provide separate left and right turn Lanes at the signal overall the study confirmed that the project will not have any adverse impacts from a traffic perspective operations of the facility will continue to be consistent with what's out there today um there will always be an attendant on site during operational hours it will continue to only be available to Costco members um and then there will be uh what we call a red light green light system at the front of each column to indicate to members in the queue when a fueling position is available to them this concludes our presentation we're here to answer any questions you might have um that's where I get my gas so I'm incredibly familiar and intrigued uh for the sake of the public by what you just said there about the red light green light so right now it's a little confusing when there's two cars there and as you say usually four in each lane so when the you have to sync it often otherwise somebody's pulling up and going in and then that messes them up then they have to whatever but now you're going to have three in each one y and the issue of whether they all three need to sink you know or people are pulling up in front and so that red light green light will it say that just one of the positions somewhere and that line is open so there will be um there will be something at the front of the and actually I have a picture of it on one of the slides if I go back but um there'll be something on the front of the column that tells you when each position is available and then there's also a little sensor above each dispenser similar to a parking garage how you see this the sensors that like green um there it is in yeah the bottom right corner so it indicates to members that that Northwest position um is available or that middle position on the other side is available we're not going to widen the lanes in between because that's structurally staying the same so people will still go down the middle cut in back up and then leaving now that middle one to possibly do that same thing so now someone's par parking in essence to get back into that open if if they don't sink you know all three of them don't finish at the same time yes and two things with that so with the expansion um the new dispensers into the queue we're actually spacing them out in additional 7 ft to allow for more maneuvering room in and out of that Center dispenser excellent information and then um for the horizontal the three additional on the Eastern side there's an additional 2 feet of bypass lane width being provided so um it just provides for additional maneuvering space into and out of those Center and ideally if the queueing is only two cars back you're not going to have someone ansy to well I don't know yet but anyway it will be different than having five or six or seven or out the driveway Ian I've been there right it does move pretty fast Costco does an amazing job but um yes that that sounds all good Council any questions before this is a public hearing we can open it up in a moment but I just had a quick question you're going to widen the driveway correct did I read that yes on the Eastern side okay and put a barrier yes there will be a a concrete median I believe to separate the inbound from the outbound traffic anything before public hearing no um maybe stay available if we have a question but thank you and we'll go ahead and hold the public hearing so this is a public hearing is there anyone in the audience wishing to address the council on the Costco fuel facility expansion issue tonight if not I I have a few thoughts I want to um share in conversation but not questions so are you both okay making the entire motion and we can continue to talk I am I've had nothing but P um comments from people saying things like oh good it's about time yeah okay okay let's go ahead and um I'll invite one of you to make the motion to close the public hearing and the other three bullet points and then we can have a little bit of a discussion I'll move to close a public hearing and adopt a resolution for a plan unit development concept review on 18 acres and approve the first reading of the ordinance for a planned unit development District review with waivers on 18 acres and direct staff to prepare an amendment to the current development agreement incorporating staff and commission recommendations and Council conditions sir a second second okay so just a few thoughts here and you all can share as well and then we'll vote um there's been some concerns uh very little um raised that I um received um a phone call and within the last week just the idea that this is a very large expansion we're going from 16 to 30 that's nearly double um and I had um brief questions just to level set we did find out in chanh Hasen that they have permission to build 32 I believe they have 24 built right now so that's fairly standard I guess I'd love to ask one of our Costco people um what what is like a typical I realize Suburban areas may be different but you build in similar demographic Suburban areas Across the Nation so um at gas stations I don't know what's in St Louis Park at gas stations Across the Nation is 30 um normal fairly typical uh good evening mayor counselor um Chris tasler with kson and Associates uh Costco's traffic engineer um so great question um I would say that as a baseline today starting Costco builds no fewer than 24 um right as they had in chasa with and usually look for an expansion opportunity in the future um but many states where we have busier sites like in California Florida they're already starting out of 32 and even building 40 position locations um so you know this site's relatively old and right it started with 16 so I think this is an opportunity for them to come back and kind of modernize to their current needs and operations so you answered it's not um abnormal it's not out of the No it's it's pretty normal do you have a question for traffic do you put EV Chargers in any of the newer ones that you're building um so do you I mean I can I can try and then kayen can probably say more or you can Julie sure Julie's probably a better position answer that one Jill um so to our knowledge in Minnesota there are no EV charging stations that have been installed um in some of the larger markets like California yes they have been installing EV charging um at some of their newer sites so Costco um they're always evaluating sites for Ev they have an EV program um just understanding needs are changing um infrastructure is becoming more readily available so um it's something that they're always looking at and evaluating sites for but there are a number of factors that they take into consideration when determining whether it's something that um they would like to install at their locations and if you did it wouldn't compete with this gasoline area it would off probably be over on some side and line up along a eastern wall or something and have you know 10 15 for for pay charging stations something if you ever did went that pathway yes and I think each site might be different depending on how many they put in you know whether it's open to the public or just open to members it's not going to compete I guess with this gasoline traffic queuing you whatever no no they would look at the overall site and they would locate it so that circulation wise it all me need sense for the site okay thank you I wanted to share um one more thought I was it was pointed out to me that I had a quote um which is true out in the public um at one of our meetings I guess a year or more ago that um it's very unlikely that Eden Perry will ever build a gas station again uh and that also being true with our neighbors at you know minona Ed and I I went I haven't looked at my exact quote I know my intent um was we'll never put a gasoline station into a neighborhood with residents all around it um in the city of in Prairie again partly because we're built out um partly because of the changing dynamics of you know ideally 80% electric cars by 2040 or something we'll never we'll never have that need and it was pointed out that did this feel tonight cons inconsistent for my prior comment and I would say no absolutely not for several reasons but one this is an existing gas station that we're helping to facilitate its viability but there's another piece here that we we don't just put our finger up in the air and check the public sentiment on any issue we are elected to use our brains but we also carefully consider uh public sentiment and we listen carefully to especially contiguous neighbors to our uh residents and and in the case of not bilding gas gas stations into their neighborhoods we're we're listening to our residents in the case of Costco we're listening to our residents they want a more efficient um better experience um I I don't know what percentage of Eden Pary people utilize the gas at Costco but that it's not insignificant um and so again there are no contiguous neighbors that are going to be upset by this project expansion there there are only happy Eden per residents that utilize this gas station um and we're helping with the efficiency piece of it and because I frequent there and I experience the experience of getting gas there I understand it and this and I can um say with um a high degree of certainty that it's a benefit to the people of Eden per so I I see my past quote as being accurate but completely different than this one than this situation tonight I I wanted to um explain that um is there anything else you want to add well I like this so that there aren't especially in the winter time going to be so many cars spewing out pollution while they wait in very long lines that's good point and this will help that um I would encourage you to get some EV charging spots perhaps up closer to the building because it often takes a fair while to go through Costco and there a good thing a lot of people who are buying said Vehicles who would probably like to charge them and um yeah it's not California but Minnesota is getting more and more Vehicles like that the city is getting lots of vehicles like that so um though it's is a different time project from this one um I think it's worth you're taking a good healthy look at to put in three four five and it will probably pay off just like it does for other businesses that install them we may not have those decision makers sitting in front of us tonight but you can certainly maybe carry that information back U so we appreciate that um is there anything else are we ready to vote so we've made the motion seconded it all those in favor say I I I oppose passes unanimous again thank you for reinvest in continuing to invest you can carry that message on uh into our city and um people of Eden Prairie do um we love all of our businesses and all of our stores but we do love our Costco so thank you okay uh we have a couple oh we have payment of claims so um again this is the list of uh like checks that get cut in the old metaphor but um the expenditures since the last meeting the long long pages and Pages any items council members that any either of you wish to ask questions about to find out more about if not is there a motion for approval of payment of claims move approval of payment of claims is submitted is there a second second roll call council member Nelson I council member Tumi I mayor case I all right we do have um two reports of council members council member Tumi I'll let you go first okay so recently I've gotten a few emails or calls or questions about our packets and our minute PE where people can access our minutes specifically our Workshop minutes and um I I let the them know that our workshops are open to the public anybody can come to a workshop which happens before from 5:30 to 6:30 before this before Council meetings but um I just thought maybe um the city manager would be able to help us out and uh just remind people how they can get to it because they have they have access to the same things we do at pretty much the same time so yeah yes uh council member Tumi gave me kind of a heads up that she'd gotten these had these conversations and that she was going to bring it up and I thought with a little bit of time we could get um some kind of screenshots of of how people can access this and what it looks like Beyond just verbally stating that this is all out there so Sarah put some slides together and I just want to visually show people how simple it is to get some of this information laptop computer phone iPad there's so many different ways besides like Lisa said being here in person so you go to our City website and there isn't a lot of things that are on that that landing page but there is a calendar and it's it's right there on the one click away on the top page from the landing page of the website and as you can see that's our calendar for for this month and there are two meetings tonight you had a workshop and you had a council meeting along with I think I talked about this before how exciting we've got an open house on Saturday and next Saturday we have Harvest to Halloween look at all the commission meetings we have and we have another council meeting in two weeks but I digress if you click on city council meeting that will take you to this page that gives you the details of tonight's meeting gives you um in the case of the meeting not the workshop it tells you 7:00 where we are how you can live stream it how you can watch it on Facebook and I'll show that in a little bit in addition to City TV another possibilities but you can also uh click the packet itself and you can go into the packet you can go into the minutes and I think the next slide shows that actually the next slide shows how you can watch so uh right now as we're on at this moment we're on the city TV page we're on the Comcast cable channels h d813 and the standard 16 we're also streaming on Facebook on the left on the screen you can see that every single meeting that we have that's televised regular meeting going back 10 if not 15 years is all viewable at any time you want so you know I hear from a lot of people that say I watched your meeting or even some of the media I watched the meeting well they might watch the meeting at 10 o'clock tonight or 7 o'clock tomorrow morning or tomorrow at noon all those options are available so if you hit the next slide Sarah yeah this shows you again um the mayor doing his um he's doing his uh mayor's doing his jazz hands and we've got um we got a couple I think that's a presentation on tour to Tonka and uh community development director CLA is always saying something really smart about a development project so we have that and then again you can kind of go into that video YouTube as well as the city web page so you again YouTube captures a lot of this but it's also on our city web page you can go to our um youtube.com epgv Channel Next slide and then diving a little bit more into the documents packets minutes um City docs we call it is also easily um easily gotten to through our website and you can look up any set of minutes any resolution any ordinance any agenda agenda packet ever so it's all in there and a lot of times if I need to go find something I just kind of search in um just the search link for you know resolution related to whatever and you eventually do get to that or Council packets you can search for different information so you can get to those uh packets as well and then the next slide shows you um tonight's packet so if you had gone to either through the calendar or even City docks you get to the packet that way as well and then finally what makes things again not finally that's another example of how you can get to all those different it's not just city council it's all of our commissions as well and there's an example of um the packet again and then finally and and we say this so often we say this to our city government Academy people um different presentations that we make um different times that we speak to the public if you and on any device in any way shape or form go to Eden perry.org and it's one of the first times actually it might not be just the first time you go there because it could be anytime you go there there's going to be a popup box that says do you want to subscribe to updates and those updates could be there's several as you know as council members we have you know 30 40,000 people that that subscribe to these updates and they can get them um via email or text but if you look at the next slide if then you enter in um your information you could get the minutes you can get the council meeting videos you can get that stuff pushed out to you so you know I subscribe to most everything so I see on Friday afternoon this email gets sent to me that says the city council meeting packet is out in the agenda and then on Wednesday morning after the meeting will say the city council video is available for review if you want and that's just those two things there's obviously um other information Friday reports information about all of our facilities and all of our programs I'd like to say that I think there's at least two if not three emails a day uh coming out from the city if you subscribe to all the information I I did want to keep it a council member to me though to that kind of detail about the council meeting but I know a lot of times yes we're here you can come here on Tuesday but there's and there's also ways to get that packet information before the meeting um prior to the meeting during the meeting or after the meeting so um if you have any questions I could try to answer those as well but I just wanted to give that quick overview of how you can kind of tap into um our information we are a trans we are and we are by law a transparent organization all of our information needs to be public every time a members of the city council meet it need and deliberate it needs to be in public with a meeting that you can have access to is that adequate so good great yeah thank you so much thank you and I'm just noticing that um s Ashen Beck was the email just curious um can I announce this because everyone could come everyone's invited no I'm just um but I I saw it coming November uh 1st uh Sarah is getting married so we're super excited for you and will that name stay the same put the camera on her do you plan to change that it's changing okay so to the public don't go in and just look for that email it may have to change there uh coming up so um we're happy for you Sarah so that's exciting thank you Ron just know that that email will change and then I wanted to underscore quickly to the transparency piece that we we uh not only by law have to do this but we want to do that but we want to make um everything available so if you go out I mean sometimes I'll go in and look for city code um and it's huge document whatever and I have a hard time finding what I'm looking for so just just call the city I mean we'll we'll help we we hide nothing you know so if you if you can't find it's not that we're hiding it is that it's just complicated to keep all these um thousands of pages really uh um filtered and accessible and available um to everybody all the time and we'll help you with that um and just before I make my last comment too um if you want to I'm assuming you're from the high school um and what class re what government so I wanted to have the cameras on you so you can prove now to Any teacher that you were here um and if you want to yep yep there you go um and if you want to come up afterward and chat with us or um we we'll give you our agendas and we'll sign them and and autograph it for you so you can take it take it back to your teacher so thank you for coming tonight I hope you uh had a reasonably enjoyable time and along that uh final note then just about voting um encourage if you are going to be 18 by November 5th but if not any of your friends I want to give an update uh on early voting and if you turn the cameras maybe one more time and just look there's the voting booths just sitting along the wall there to the right um so early voting is going on uh right now as many of you know um and so 1,328 uh ballots have already been cast in Eden Prairie I think that's really good uh there are about 42,000 registered voters in Eden Prairie we typically well many of you know this Minnesota often gets the highest in the United States of America for voting percentage our third Congressional dist District in the past a couple times has gotten the highest in the state and our city gets one of the highest in the third congressional district uh we're anticipating we might uh approach numbers of 90% voting which is absolutely unheard of we have a phenomenal City Clerk and staff that make the most accountable fairest um election possible uh and and again if you have any questions on that please um feel free to ask uh questions about that of any of the people that work here at the city early voting continues right here in this room City Hall Monday to Friday all the way up until election day I'll talk about that in just a second uh early voting is from 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m. all the way through Monday November 4th which is the day before election day but there's some special days uh this is Minnesota uh state law here or state statute or at least the the house and the Senate passes will also be open 9:00 a.m. to 3 p p.m. on the last Saturday of the month which is October 26 that Saturday will be voting day as well as the weekend right before election day both Saturday and Sunday November 2nd and 3D um this room will be open for early voting from 8:00 am to 4:30 I think that's uh just a wonderful part of our state and of course our city uh participates in that early voting all right with that Council anything else to come before the the uh Council this evening Mr Geto I will entertain a motion to adjourn move to adjourn sir second second any further discussion all those in favor say I I oppose this meeting is adjourned
