meeting for Tuesday November 12th 2024 for the purpose of C seeing the election results in the city Mr TR would you call the role please council member gra here council member St here council member etton here council member schroer here mayor Ro here uh and as I noted this is a single purpose meeting uh a special meeting for the purpose of canvasing the election results uh Mr Tron I don't know if you want to provide a little bit of introductory information yes thank you mayor uh as mentioned uh we are meeting tonight as a city council as a canvasing board to declare the results of the general election held on Tuesday November 5th 2024 the results were as follow follow the city council uh vote for two seats were as follows Matt bow 8,174 votes Joshua Kylie 6,025 votes Kevin Nicholson 2763 votes votes Julie St 11,673 votes with rins of 230 votes as a result Julie St and Matt B have been elected to a four-year term to the city council we also had two referendum questions on the ballot first question was to create a 0.5% sales tax uh to fund the public works and park operations facility the yes votes were 11263 and the no votes were 9,171 so that referendum question did pass the second question was a .5% sales tax to fund the license and passport center the yes votes were 9,465 the no votes were 10,831 so that referendum question did not pass and those are the results of the election on November 5th 2024 all right and there is a copy of the detailed abstract from Rams County elections in our packet uh is there a motion from the council uh as to declaring the results of the 2024 Roseville city election so move second all right and that is a motion to Clare the results as outlined by Mr Tron yes as to the folks that get elected as well as the results of the questions all right with that we have a motion from uh council member schroer seconded by council member St I believe uh any discussion on that motion hearing none all those in favor of certifying the results as outlined signify by saying I I opposed that passes unanimously uh we have no other business on our agenda so this meeting is adjourned thank you everyone
