Monday Morning Minute - June 16, 2025
No description available.
Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute for
June 16. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock and get started. Our first summer concert of the season
will be held this Wednesday at 7 PM at the Walton Park Band Shell. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy
this free concert by Salsa Del Soul featuring Caribbean dance music. City offices will be closed
this Thursday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday. As always, emergency services are available and
staff will be back on Friday, June 20. Have you noticed properties around town with outstanding
landscapes? Then we'd like your help in nominating them for the Oakdale Acorn Award. Categories
include residential, business/commercial, and public. Check out oakdalemn.gov to learn more
and to nominate properties by June 30. Finally, it's hard to believe, but Oakdale Summerfest is
one week away. Mark your calendars for June 23 through June 28 to enjoy a variety of activities
including the Medallion hunt, parade, skateboard contest, Nature Preserve 5K, pony ride,s
inflatables, food trucks, concerts, fireworks, and more. Check out the full schedule of events
at oakdalesummerfest.com. As always, a very big thank you to the Oakdale Summerfest Community
Organization for their efforts in coordinating this cornerstone community celebration. That's
it. I'm out of time. Have a great week, Oakdale.
