Monday Morning Minute - September 1, 2025

No description available.

Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute for  September 1. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock and get started. First up, City offices are  closed today, Monday, in observance of Labor Day. City facilities will reopen at 8 AM tomorrow.  In recognition of the start of the school year, we're here at Tartan High School, which recently  completed its addition and renovation project, a huge undertaking. Good luck to our local  students, teachers, and support staff as they head back to school this week. We wish  everyone a very successful school year ahead. With the return to school, a reminder for drivers  to slow down, pay attention, and anticipate school children and buses, especially in school zones  and neighborhoods. We want everybody to remain safe. Finally, the pavement rehabilitation  project on Hadley Avenue from 10th Street to Hallmark is underway with completion expected in  mid-September. For the duration of this project, the traffic signals at the intersection of Hadley  Avenue and 15th Street will remain flashing red, so treat it like a stop sign. While Hadley  Avenue will be open to through traffic, there may be periods of partial lane closures with  flaggers. Please proceed with caution throughout the work zone area and project area. That's it.  I'm out of time. Have a great week, Oakdale.
