welcome everybody to the June 12th 2024 city of Mesa Planning and Zoning public hearing we'll begin with a roll call I'll start with board member Montes who's excused today we're going to miss her till the next time but uh chair SS is here Vice chair pitcher here board member Crockett here board member Peterson here board member blakeman here and board member Carpenter here all right thank you everybody as part of the agenda we do have a consent agenda and we'll be reading that into the record and acted in that on in one motion um so each of these items will not be discussed individually and so we're going to have um board member Carpenter re our consent agenda today all right items of on the consent agenda approval of me of minutes from previous meetings uh pz 24082 minutes from May 22 uh 2024 Planning and Zoning meeting uh planning and zoning board meeting excuse me uh pz 24079 proposed amendments to chapter 7 section 11- 7-2 of Title 11 of the mesa city code also known as the Mesa zoning ordinance allowing Banquet and Conference Centers in certain employment districts staff recommendation adoption I read that part y okay uh pz 24080 proposed amendments of chapters 24 and 87 of Title 11 of the mesa city code also known as the Mesa zoning ordinance par aining but not limited to revising the boundaries of the downtown events overlay district and creating an exception exception to the maximum consecutive days for City special events in the de overlay districts uh staff recommendation adoption and pz 24081 uh z23 d465 Smiles for special needs within the 1800 block of East Brown Road a Loc west of Gilbert Road and North of Brown Road reone from single residence uh -9 or rs9 to office commercial uh and site plan review this request will allow for a daycare center uh Smiles uh staff recommendation approval with conditions all right thank you for that I know we don't have any blue card so I think we're good there so I will request a motion to approve the consent agenda is read uh make a motion to approve and there's our second second all right all in favor please vote guessing this will be oh I need to Vice chair pitcher yes thank you board member Crockett yes thank you and that passes unanimously thank you everybody so with that we'll turn a time over staff if there's anything that we need to discuss uh chair there are no additional updates all right all right I'll request a motion to adjourn the planning and zoning board meeting so moved second second all in favor Vice chair pitcher hi yes thank you board member koget yes all right unanimous thank you everybody appreciate your time is that the record four minutes [Music]
