what do we want in a month-long discussion and a process that entail the survey we asked our members of the caucus what will our fight this cycle look like and so in Collective collaboration we determined these three urgent priorities that also push back against the mayor's austerity budget we reject this mayor's defunding of our social safety net infrastructure he is defunding safety and so our members said we want to see Investments real security around housing preservation to ensure that we protect renters that we house every single New Yorker that we invest in wrap around comprehensive accessible mental health care services that our approach cannot be to institutionalize and to criminalize yes right that we want every New Yorker to feel safe in the city with health care services that are preventative and the third that we need to show to our youngest New Yorkers that our public schools are rich with resources with after school programs rich with Educators that we are bringing in Talent from our city in the Arts and Music and other courses rich in ensuring that our newest New Yorkers our Asylum Seekers have bilingual guidance counselors and bilingual Educators we can get this done
