[Music] welcome to the Rambling River Center we've received a lot of questions about the progress on the renovation project so we wanted to take you on a walking tour today so you can see what's been happening over the last couple months come on in we are now entering what was the former Fitness room we're looking at the reception area right now Stacy's office will be back in the corner and here will be the rotary Lounge the coffee will always be on as we move into the former Reception Area this will now be the risto library we are looking at the former exit on Oak Street will just be a well it was the entrance and exit uh it will just be an exit as we move forward now we're entering the Empire Room this was the the Empire Room as you can see the library has now been removed as we walk down the hallway here you're going to see a new hallway added to our game room this will be a perfect space for the pingpong table no longer will they be crowded in the small room off of the garage they all also be a hallway that leads back to the computer lab and Miss's office we're now looking at the Nikolai boardroom there will be some light finishing updates in this room new ceiling tiles paint and flooring as we come back down the hallway we are going to be entering the hallway to the banquet room there will be a new gender neutral restroom which you're looking at right now in the banquet room and here's the kitchenette which will have a roll up serving window as we move north to the banquet room the door on the northeast side it used to be have a vestibule that has been removed and that will be a double door leading to the parking lot there will be one large storage room instead of three chopped up storage rooms this will be easier for staff to move tables chairs Etc in and out as we look to the West there will be two windows removed and doors will be inserted which will lead us out to the mwest bank patio there will be furniture out here for games coffee hanging out whatever the seniors and the community want to do bathrooms no changes in the existing bathrooms in the banquet room or in the main hallway as we move down the hallway now we're looking at the Ross arts and crafts room light finishes will happen in this room lighting flooring and new ceiling tile and now you can see the new Jack and Bev mcnight fitness center much larger space than what we currently had as you can see the garage doors have been removed big windows will be replaced here which will make the fitness room quite the space with all the natural light coming in there will be shades on the windows we did keep one garage stall for the Rambling River Center's passenger van we are now moving to the train room the wall that remains right there the brick wall will be demoed and that will be opened up as we look towards the east those are the former jail holding cells that have been demolished so this will M remain a a wide open space as you can see the Ross arts and crafts room was over my shoulder that concludes our tour for today over the next month there will be several things still happening with the progress of the center we'll see walls going up the roof will be replaced rooftop units will be installed want to take the time to thank our contractor for the project CM Construction Company they've been a great teammate partner and with their dedication to the project we hope to be open in April sometime for Progress updates and photos visit the city's website at Farmington mn.gov under Rambling River Center
