well welcome again to the Mesa city council meeting for the evening of August the 26th of 2024 I'll note for the record that all of our Council are here and present at the meeting uh we will begin this meeting with an invocation offered by Pastor Kyle Glenn with Boulder Mountain Community Church followed by the Pledge of Allegiance so please stand for the prayer and remain standing for the Pledge of Allegiance city council thank you for the privilege of opening in prayer thank you for what you do what you do really matters thank you for leveraging your leadership ship to serve the city of Mesa let's pray gracious Heavenly Father we thank you for your grace we pause to say thank you for your unconditional love thank you for your goodness thank you for the opportunity we have to serve the city of Mesa God I pray for wisdom in this room that surpasses understanding that surpasses experience that surpasses the maturity of of those in the room we ask for the ability to see what you see father I pray that we would leverage the resources and the ability to serve those who need to be served I pray father that we would love first lead second but that we would always do both that we would be people of Truth who speak truth with conviction but we would also be people of Grace extending mercy and Grace not because people necessarily deserve it but because it is the right thing to do because we've all received Grace thank you Father for your love again I pray that in this room tonight that there would be peace again that passes understanding that discussions would be shared in a in a peaceful manner father that right decisions would be made and that leaders would would leverage their skills and their wisdom and their experience not for their own betterment but for the services for the Mesa Police Department item 4 C approving a one-year annual maintenance agreement for forensic equipment for the Mesa Police Department item 4 d approving threeyear term contract with two-year renewal options for overhead door preventative maintenance and repair services for the facilities management department item 4E approving three-year term contract with 2-year renewal options for event security crowd Management Services for the parks recreation and Community facilities and arts and culture departments item 4f approving one-year term contract with four-year renewal options a minor General plan Amendment two ordinances for an annexation and a zoning case and a resolution for a development agreement I hereby declare the public hearing on this item open Miss Mosley do we made by council member Freeman seconded by council member sumers please vote thank you that motion passes unanimously uh next is agenda item 9 items 9A through 9e involve the development known as the Merit Partners Legacy Business Park these items are for Council to conduct a public hearing and take action on a resolution for a minor General plan Amendment two ordinances for an annexation and a zoning case and a resolution of a development agreement I declare the public hearing on these items open MS Mosley do we have any requests to speak on these items no requests thank you do any council
