for the matters at hand if there be a course that is best suited for the citizens of the city of Glendale Arizona it will be found in the company of your desires and your will and let the decisions made here this evening be in concert with your will your way your truth and your life we pray for your protection over our city that our streets would be safe that we would be protected from the covid-19 virus that our homes would be a place of comfort and peace and that those who watch over us present here tonight and those who respond in times of need our police our F our firefighters our paramedics and our Hospital workers are resting in your blessings and your strength we pray your protection over our schools and all other organizations that make our city a better place through their service that they would be empowered through the joy of their sacrifice we pray your blessings on the citizens represented here this evening that their commitment to be here tonight for the common good of our community would be met with your favor and we pray your blessings upon the speakers and presenters gathered here this evening that the causes for which they here would be properly and I spoke with Gene Mareno and the city manager on um you know trying to get that money spent much quicker to help our families and boy have they just surprised the heck out of me I think a little over $2 million they've spent helping families in this community I am so proud of them I just visited the uh the office a couple about a half hour ago and thank them and I want to thank Jee Moreno for her leadership she has done exceptionally well in spending that money and I'm very very proud of them and thank you city manager for uh for um being supportive of Jane and her staff they're great going to sound really strange I'm not asking you to come out but I do feel that I have to tell you that we're doing it uh it's our November 11th Veterans Day event uh and the reason I'm not asking you to come out is it will be live streamed uh we are trying to keep our numbers very low unlike we have in the past we're concerned about our veterans we have some uh more Elder veterans that will be there so uh if you if you wish to come out you're welcome to uh it's going to be be very very short there's not going to be a bunch of speeches there's not going to be a whole lot other than the fact that we're going to honor our flag and our veterans that'll be at uh the brown Library 59th Avenue and that's help me at 8:00 is that correct 8:00 in the morning so if you'd like to come out you're welcome to but uh again we're we're really because of the co we're trying to be very very careful that we don't get anybody sick so that's tomorrow morning uh and other than that uh I just just want
