I am so proud of the work that you did and how  you have represented Henderson to the nation. We were seeing pictures of it on TV it  was like the devastation was incredible and I was like "Send me I want to go." We had a couple hours to get ready  for it and we were on the road. There was definitely some tough parts of  it too. We ended up sleeping in front yards   a lot of the time and in neighborhoods that  we were trying to protect. It was a lot of   destruction. That part I'm not used to seeing  that many homes destroyed at the same time but it was definitely an honor to be able  to go down there and help those people. I mean you got to see the devastation firsthand,  and we really got to feel like we were part of   something bigger than ourselves. We represent  Henderson proudly you know. We're glad to be   from this department and we're glad when we  can go to those incidents that are you know   in different states in different parts of  the U.S. and go help citizens that are in   need. It's a great opportunity to work side  by side with these professionals here with   Henderson Fire Department to be a part  of it. Be a part of Henderson history. It is my sincere honor on behalf of this  team that you see standing in front of   you and the rest of the men and women of the  Henderson fire department, to graciously accept   this proclamation recognizing the selfless  work that they put themselves through.
