THE SITE IS LOCATED IN THE UN1 DISTRICT. IT'S IN THE INTERIOR, LOCATED IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER CRITICAL AREA OVERLAY DISTRICT. PARKING LOTS ARE PERMITTED AND EXEMPT FROM RULES IN THAT OVERLAY DISTRICT, SO THERE ARE NO IMPLICATIONS TO THE WATER RELATED OVERLAY.

AND IT IS OCCUPIED BY MINNEHAHA ACADEMY, WHICH IS A CHRISTIAN PRIVATE SCHOOL SERVING IN THIS CASE GRADES PRE-K THROUGH 8TH GRADE. YOU CAN SEE THE MAPS IN THE AERIALS ARE DIFFERENT. IT IS LOCATED CLOSE TO WEST RIVER PARKWAY. THERE ARE TENNIS COURTS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SITE. TRACK AND FIELD, FOOTBALL FIELD, PARKING LOT HERE. THIS IS THE BUS TURN AROUND AND THAT PRINCIPLE ENTRANCE INTO THE SCHOOL SITS ABOUT RIGHT HERE IN THE PLAN.
[11:08] **Hillary Dvorak**: THEY ARE PROPOSING TO DEMOLISH THE BUS TURN AROUND AREA AND ALSO THE EXISTING PARKING ON THE SITE TO EXPAND THAT. WHAT THEY'RE PROPOSING TO DO IS THEY ARE GOING TO BE FILLING IN THE AREA BETWEEN THE PROPERTY LINE AND THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL WITH LANDSCAPE, GREEN SPACE, THERE WILL BE WALKWAYS. WHAT THEY ARE DESIGNING IS A COMBINED BUS DROP OFF AREA AND SURFACE PARKING LOT. THERE WILL BE TWO SLIP LANES FOR THE BUSES NEAREST 42nd, EACH LANE CAN HANDLE THREE BUSES.
[12:15] **Hillary Dvorak**: THERE ARE 132 TOTAL PARKING SPACES LOCATED IN THIS AREA AND THEN ALSO LOCATED DOWN HERE JUST WEST OF THE SCHOOL. MOST OF THESE PARKING SPACES IN THIS LOCATION REMAIN. THERE'S A WALKWAY HERE BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BUILDING AND THE FOOTBALL FIELD THAT STAYS THAT CONNECTS ALL OF THE ACTIVITIES TO THE MAIN SCHOOL BUILDING. IN THE REPORT IT'S REFERENCED THE RAISED CROSSWALK. THERE IS AN UNDERGROUND PIECE OF EQUIPMENT IN THIS LOCATION AND THIS WHITE BOX HERE ON THE PLAN IS THEIR TRASH ENCLOSURE WHICH WAS NOT BEING ALTERED AS PART OF THIS APPLICATION.

THE SAFETY CONCERNS ABOUT KIDS GETTING OUT OF BUSES WHILE THERE'S STAFF ON-SITE—KIDS RUN. FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING THINGS GET A LITTLE CHAOTIC. IN TERMS OF THE DIMENSION THE 9 FOOT VERSUS THE 7' 7, THERE IS AN 8 FOOT BOULEVARD ALONG 42nd SO THE PUBLIC BOULEVARD ALONG WITH THE 7 FEET 7" EQUATES TO ALMOST 15 OR 16 FEET OF GREEN SPACE.
