It's Thanksgiving week and city offices will be closed this Thursday and Friday for the holiday. As always, emergency services will remain available during the holidays. Small Business Saturday will follow on November 29th. So, shop local at our Oakdale Indoor Market this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Discovery Center. More than 20 local vendors will offer a unique variety of items, including holiday items, baked and canned goods, and more. Just one week is left to vote on Oakdale's annual photo contest. Six finalists have been selected, and you can vote on your favorite photo on Facebook by selecting like on that photo through November 30th. See the link provided to review the finalists and vote. Also, mark your calendar for the city's first ever tree lighting with Santa event next Thursday, December 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at City Hall. This free event will feature photos with Santa, a tree lighting ceremony, bonfire, holiday music by the Tartan High School choir, s'mores, cookies, hot cocoa, and more. See the link for more details.
