and with what the Met council's doing and with with them you know I mean they're putting money for City Water and Sewer and they have to have the density to you know to maintain that investment in in the city water and sewer and it's going to come out to us too I I look at even out where I am in the west part and basically what they're saying is you know we have five acres we have no development rights because they don't want us developing because eventually when it comes out there someone's going to buy up all that property tear our house down and build a subdivision or something and and that's unfortunately what's happening in the area do you feel strongly enough to make a motion at this point in time because I think that's where I would head next so if you feel strongly enough in this you are um I don't know I I I feel it's inevitable I'm sorry but I feel like it's inevitable and and I don't know if you can really re I don't I don't know I mean maybe you can maybe we say no to this and then they sell it and we say no to the next guy that buys it I I don't know is that possible I think technically it's possible but yeah I think but it may not happen then it may be developed even denser yep yeah might be that it gets delayed um I don't know and I I I and I mean we're just a recommendation anyway still bring it to the city council go ahead and make a recommendation at this point in time I will make a recommendation to deny the uh comprehensive plan amendment I second all those in favor say I I anyone opposed opposed said anything here it's really hard I I guess I'm opposed to I mean it's then and then the vote does not pass and so what do we do now because so a new recommendation a new recommendation needs to get made um is does it just go to the city council and they decide can we make a recommendation to make a new land use designation I I still don't feel like we've gotten feedback on that or is that a ridiculous that's not the application in front of you tonight no so we need to the the the request is to regu so we need to either get a recommendation to um a recommendation to reu to conservation residential or recommendation to not regu a recommendation well didn't we just do that but we didn't pass because there's not a majority it's two to two it's two to two oh I so and we can't leave an sorry I was slow to the but I feel like this I I do feel like this is one neighborhood of many because there are these oneoff sort of Legacy subdivisions and I think it matters how the city um treats us because I don't just believe that everything will eventually get swallowed up so um so I so that's why I I would uh but if we're going to be at a stale mate and and nothing swings I mean I'm looking at these Lots with the really long long lots and they're probably going to sell I don't know I'm literally asking what if it's a stay mate she's Googling when you said no did you mean no to the motion or no to she's opposing the our okay just clarifying that we were talking about but our city code says we have to have a recommendation you we're short of we're short tier tier law would allow you to do no recommendation but I don't know what you're if so Natalie if if we deny the recommendation then where does it go from there it goes to the council it's just a recommendation to the council council is still going to review this no matter what so at this point in time someone has to make a new motion if we want to try to revote okay I'll make a motion to deny be slightly different than the last one so I don't know so maybe that's where you can fit in your recommendation okay well I guess I can't make a recommendation though you said no you can so I say recommendation to deny and consider a different land oh yeah okay cool I make a recommendation to deny this particular application or request while also continuing discussions and recommend a creation of a new land use designation for subdivision within the Musa uh I'll second that motion all those in favor say I I I anyone opposed opposed okay goes to council and then that will go to council wow yeah thank you guys thanks again I know it was a late night apologize for that but thanks for hanging in there sorry guys it's um we don't have any other business we just have to okay R so at this point in time uh I'll Ryan you dropped your iPad Mr Lo uh at this point in time I'll make a motion to adjourn tonight's meeting a second all those in favor say I I anyone oppos
