No description available.

>> It's river for us Friday. It's the start of Riverfest really excited. >> This morning, a several council members and I we're at breakfast to kick off riverfest and then we'll be going over riverfest to help cut the ribbon and start Riverfest 2024. But before we do that, we do have a gender reveal. So thank Manager Bob Layton. You can take over. I keep my comments brief so you can get over there and enjoy. >> The on the first page. You've got 3 proclamations and you've got the recognition for the Citizens Fire Academy on the public agenda. There are 5 items. I think this is a group of school children like last year with their recommendations for you for their presentations. I yeah, I didn't ask the school, but I think that's where they were from last year. on the page to really nothing there to Page 3, a new council business night item number one, the suit approve a public hearing date for a reduction of the C ID boundaries for property at 13th and Greenwich. And number use public hearing date for a review action that would reduce the size of the CI, the boundaries for the property at 13 in Greenwich. What which is known as the chicken pickle to see it. I don't know that we've ever reduce the boundaries before. So what will happen is the chicken and pickle development will be that along with Street right away, which is was the public purpose piece of the district that will be all that's in the district so their parcels are to be taken out of the district. And that's an action filed by the owner. Subtracted. Yes. I understand your computer and that number 2 is would approve contracts for calm, compact or truck dumpster and Mattress Disposal services for the annual neighborhood cleanup program. You've got 3 non consent planning agenda items, the first to our zoning changes. >> With differences between the I'm a PC and the dab recommendations. And then the 3rd item on Page 4 is a zoning change with the protest petition. And if you when you look at this and drill down, it's really not a valid protest petition. But under your requirements, it still needs to come to you and non consent. We're probably going to bring a change to you for consideration that something like that would go on the consent agenda because there is number 3. Yeah, because the fact that there was one filed is what triggers it to come to you. But it's not even a ballot petitions. So we're going to work refining. So it's outside the petition area. And theoretically, any person could submit a petition for any project in the city and have it taken from consent to agenda. That's my understanding, right? Scott? >> Yeah, yeah. So we I think that something good to clean Thank you. That's all I have on Page 4 page 5. Just one thing to highlight >> approval of travel for the mayor. End of June. >> I will just add one additional comment to that. No city dollars or taxpayer dollars are being spent on that and accepting an award. >> Page 6. Number 4 would approve bid for paving improvements that exceeded the engineers estimate by 15%. Number 5 is approving sale of about a 3rd of an acre of on East 29th Street. North to K dot. Number 6 on Page 7 and both 6, 7 are assessment schedules for a demolition and board up work that's been done by the city and our session against a property That mayor is all I have. I just a reminder council meeting starts at 6 o'clock. There's a 4 o'clock workshop on the budget this is the. For those of you been through this before. This is your the roll up your sleeve meeting. We're going to have a some pages of budget options for you to look at give some general direction and we'll be focusing primarily on how we position ourselves for Give you some more background information and then start to get direction. We've cured. >> The >> Issues for your consideration similar. We did back when we were going through COVID and had to make some really tough decisions. So nothing you do will be, you know, from it just given us direction. As put the budget document together. For the 4 yet for the 4 o'clock us again. >> We it be in Are there? I think we'll do 4 o'clock in here. I think I don't know. We'll get back to I normally would be here and works. It's easier that way. But the fact that we've already set up for 6 o'clock, it may be easier for staff and comms team just for us to be across the hall but will clarify >> We have the option to review some of those budget documents before 4 o'clock. get it like at 4 o'clock. How what's it worth to you? A little cocky repair? Actually, I believe what we're doing right now is that went through the list with staff yesterday. Well, it's not going to go to department directors, but we will try to get it to you on Monday. I want to make sure I wasn't giving you something that turned out to be unworkable with some of the gets last-minute feedback from that. But we'll try to get out one Well, what I'm trying to do is is probably an hour and a half would be my guess or hour and 15 so that you have will have will get some beforehand. don't want any cranky the 6 o'clock meeting. So we'll try to get so we're ordering food. Yes, order for >> So a nice reminder. Thank This is our second evening time of the year out of 4. It will be again on Tuesday, June 4th at 06:00PM. But prior to that at 4 o'clock, people can still come out as we will have a budget workshop. again, there will be open to the public. So 2 opportunities for people in the more evening time hours to be involved let's all laugh. Any comments from council members before we close out the agenda meeting. >> Yeah, I one for those following the 29th and Grow contamination, Union Pacific is hosting a open house tomorrow at 1 o'clock and that water. They will be talking next steps updates on testing that they and to share information. So that's from one to 4 tomorrow at that water and tomorrow's our district one breakfast and we will have the wonderful Gary Jensen public works. Joining us to talk about public works and utilities. >> Very Jansen's. Haha. >> Haha. >> Anything else from any other council members? >> Well, we gone does not wear shorts. I just want to get that on the record. Obama does not I think that council members Glasscock in Johnston should do some running for global running day. The proclamation and the running back into City Hall and then help the mayor would give the proclamation with shorts with shorts that accept suppose. >> Mayer, this is what I normally say. I think it's time for Aho. Have a great weekend. Everyone.
