Former Mayor Doug Anderson conducted the oath of office for Mayor Luke Hellier and Councilmembers Joshua Lee and Michelle Volk. The Council approved contracts for portions of the 185th Street Expansion Project. They named the Sun Thisweek as the city's official newspaper for 2023. The Council approved a conditional use permit for Affinity Apartments, a 174-unit age-restricted apartment building at 179th Street and Cedar Avenue, and the Council named Councilmember Joshua Lee as the 2023 Acting Mayor.
