good afternoon and welcome to the April 19 2023 Mesa Planning and Zoning Board public hearing we will begin with a roll call I am board member Crockett Vice chair Ayers and board member sarkissian are absent uh board member Allen here board member Peterson here board member pitcher here and board member Montez here okay well as you heard in the introduction we operate on a consent agenda we have one single item on our consent agenda today and board member Peterson has volunteered to Read that read that consent agenda for us but before I do that we do have one public comment that I will read into the record on this one this is this is case zon 22-01008 the name of the commenter is Don Teo and Don is in support and states I live just over the city limit in Queen Creek we're really excited to be getting this development nearby we have needed more Hotel restaurant and shopping options for a long time hopefully there is a higher end hotel in the mix too the hotels around here are not the best we don't need a Four Seasons but a western level of Hotel would be nice all right so thank you for that comment do we have anyone here have we received any requests to speak or anyone in the audience that would like to take this off of consent I don't see anything so with that I'll turn it over to board member Peterson the item the case on today's consent agenda is item 3A zon 22-01008 Gateway East district 6 within the 5300 to 6200 blocks of South Ellsworth Road West Side located south of Ray Road and West of Ellsworth Road 273 Acres Reed Zone from light industrial with the planned area development overlay to light industrial with a planned area development overlay Council use permit and special use permit this request will allow for a commercial and Industrial Development recommendation as approval with conditions thank you board member Peterson can I have a motion to approve the consent agenda I would make the motion that we approve the consent agenda as read into the record for Wednesday April 19 2023 plan and Zoning meeting thank you board member Alan is there a second I second thank you board member pitcher let's go ahead and cast our votes oh that's right I'm sorry but I'm sleeping up here board member Allen I and board member pitcher I okay by your vote of five eyes with two absent you have passed the consent agenda I'll ask our assistant director if there's anything else on our agenda to cover today chair board members know nothing else okay well thank you to staff for the for the presentation thank you to the applicant for being here uh can I have a motion to adjourn our public hearing motion to adjourn I have a second Emotion by board member Peterson a second by board member Allen all in favor say aye aye okay you have voted to adjourn our meeting thank you everyone thank you
