welcome everybody the July 26 2023 city of Mesa planning and Zone zoning board meeting we're going to begin by taking roll call of the board here today so I'm chair Ayers Vice chair pitcher here board member Crockett here board member Peterson here board member Montez here board member blakeman here and board member Carpenter here all right thank you full house today so thanks everybody for being here so as part of the agenda for today we have a consent agenda and that will be read into the record enacted in one motion and these will not be discussed individually and would thankfully Jeff has decided to help us out and read this for us today thank you board member Ayers the consent agenda for Wednesday July 26 2023 is as follows approval of the minutes from the July 12 2023 Planning and Zoning meeting agenda item 3A which is case zon 22-01038 Villas at Apache District Five within the 9600 to 9 700 blocks of East Main Street located south of Main Street and West of Crismon Road rezoning from agriculture to multiple residents four with a planned area development overlay and site plan review the request will allow for a multiple residence development the staff recommendation is approval with conditions item 3B is case zon 22-01298 Red Oak autism Academy in District 2 within the 5000 to 5100 block of East University Drive located west of Higley Road on the north side of University Drive Council use permit this will request this request will allow for a private school grades K through 12 to be located within the limited commercial zoning District the staff recommendation is approval with conditions item 3B is case zon 23-00222 brightpath child care in District One within the 1200 block of North Val Vista Drive and within the 3500 block of East Brown Road located west of Val Vista Drive and north of Brown Road this is a rezone from Office commercial with a bonus intensity Zone overlay to office commercial and a major site plan modification this request will allow for the development of a daycare center staff recommendation on this is to continue this item to the August 9 2023 planning and zoning board meeting item 3D is case zon 23-00282 Mountain America Credit Union Mesa branch in District Six within the 4900 Block of South Power Road located north of Ray Road on the east side of Power Road major site plan modification and amending the conditions of approval for case number zon21-00069 this request will allow for a a bank with a drive-through the staff recommendation is approval with conditions item 3E is case z o n 23-00338 tmw off-road in District Six within the 7400 block of South 89th place within the 8 900 block of East Winston Avenue and within the 7400 block of South Atwood located west of Ellsworth Road and North of Germain Road this is a rezone from light industrial with a planned area development overlay to light industrial with a pad overlay and a bonus intensity Zone overlay and a site plan review this this request will allow for an industrial development the staff recommendation is approval with conditions and finally item 3F is case zon23-00384 the Nile Historic Landmark overlay in District 4 within the 100 block of West Main Street and the 100 block of South McDonald located east of Country Club Drive and south of Main Street this is a rezone from downtown core with a downtown events overlay to downtown core with a downtown events overlay and a Historic Landmark overlay this request will establish a Historic Landmark overlay the staff recommendation is approval with conditions all right thank you board member card so um there any comment cards or blue cards on these items that has come in chair we've not received any comments okay thank you very much so with that I'll take a motion to approve the consent agenda motion to approve thank you in a second I second all right thank you with that we'll take a vote and then board member Carpenter how would you vote uh approve or yes sorry yes thank you with that with a unanimous vote of seven yeses and zero no's the consent agenda passes all right thank you hi Rachel is there anything that we need to discuss as part of the public meeting nope share no other items on the agenda okay with that I will uh conclude the July 26 2023 meeting and ask for a motion to adjourn I will move that we adjourn the meeting second thank you all right we'll vote on that and board member Carpenter yes yes I don't think I've ever seen this not go unanimous but obviously we passion honestly thank you everybody [Music] thank you [Music]
