good evening ladies and gentlemen it is now 5 30 and i will call this regular meeting of the burnsville city council to order it is our tradition to stand for a moment of silence followed by the pledge of allegiance and we invite you to join us i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all tonight's meeting is being conducted both in person and uh online uh city council members and our staff is in person in the council chambers and um it says council member keeley is joining us by zoom but you are not better get home your lady i have no idea why that is i missed that one too yeah good to see you should i run out in the hallway no no no counselor is present at the dais members of the public may attend in person or the public can also watch the meeting online at burnsvillemn.gov meeting or comcast channel 16 or 8 59. the public can also participate through zoom by joining us at zoom dot u s slash join and more information is available on our meeting web page and the council agenda packet the next item on the agenda is our announcements our announcements have to do with all of our upcoming meeting and we also have a presentation this evening regular council meetings are scheduled for tuesday march 8th and that meeting is cancelled the next meeting is tuesday march 22nd and that's at 5 30 pm we have a work session that's scheduled for tuesday march 15th at 5 30 pm and tonight we have a closed uh session because we need to have a conversation with our legal counsel and that's this evening at six and it'll be in the dakota b room downstairs we have a special joint session with isd 191 board and that's on tuesday march 1st at 5 30 pm and that meeting will be over at the burnsville high school we have a special work session and that's a budget session on tuesday march 8th at 5 30 pm uh in the dakota room downstairs and unless we mention it all meetings are in the council chambers and this evening one of our wonderful partners here in the city is making a presentation and the community foundation is presenting the city a check for the holiday lighting donations and i believe um mr brady is going to present that and i'm happy to receive yeah excellent thank you madam mayor and city council on behalf of the burnsville community foundation with the generous donations of so many members of our community and their businesses for now the 23rd time we're happy to present a check to the city of burnsville in the amount of 35 thousand dollars to assist in paying for the lighting throughout the community the holiday season [Applause] the tallest person is a standard friend of character yeah they always stand in front of character there you go yeah thank you and i also want to mention that the chair michael s is during the winter months so thank you so much thank you yeah and then i will take that thank you thank you you're not staying for the exciting part the next item on the agenda is citizens comments this is the opportunity for anyone in the audience to address the council on an item that is not on the printed agenda not an application form that will be coming before us at a future date is there anyone in the audience who wishes to address the council on an item that is not on the agenda and not an application form anyone unzoom no matter okay thank you we will move on the next item is is additions to the final agenda and this is for emergency item zoning city manager lindbergh are there any emergency items to come before the body nothing from staff mayor okay members okay thank you we now move on to the consent agenda the consent agenda is a group of items that's considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion however an item on a consent agenda can be removed for a separate discussion and vote is there anyone who wishes an item to be removed for a separate discussion and vote anyone on zoom miss collins okay city manager lambert no mayor members of the council may i have a motion to adopt the consent agenda please move to approve second there's a motion and a second all in favor please say aye aye aye opposed nay and a motion carries uh there are no items on the regular agenda and a motion to adjourn is in order question two adjourn second there's a motion and a second all in favor please say aye aye aye opposed a an emotion carries and now we will adjourn to the closed session downstairs you
